Ok guys, i did a massive search to see what i could find, but i didn't really find anything i could try myself. I was out and i had a music cd in the system. I took it out and i put in my nav cd and it would not read. it was staying in memory mode. I thought that was weird and i pressed eject and the motor would turn, but nothing would come out. I pressed the small reset button next to the eject button and nothing came out. so now i lost all my presets and color settings and sound settings and the cd still won't come out. when i press map on the d3, it says insert appropriate disc. bu

hey guys, sorry that im jumpin in on this topic so late in the game. but i Sorta noticed the same thing in my car. slight buzzing when i hit the accelerator. the harder i accelerate, the louder it is. but i also realized that the louder the volume, the louder it is too. when i had it at "8" there was no sound at all, but when i had it on "17" i heard it pretty loud. but it would not come on during music or in nav guidance, only when im cruising with nothing playing. i duno if any of you guys experienced the same thing. is my solution the same as everyone else's? thanks

there is a setting that you have to get to when your car is not active. i think it might be under av settings. you can choose to mute it. or play over the music.

just wondering... is the/will the ps3 be moddable? i feel like im asking if something can be bypassed...jesus.

does anyone out there have both systems? i am really considering a ps3. i don't wanna throw in the towel on it just yet because i feel like it needs some time to get some games. i don't like how the xbox does not have an hddvd drive and no wifi connection. if i wanted all those, im looking at a ps3 pretty much. and that new xbox elite is a joke.

oh, i have more games than that, but madden is the only one i play like that...and online. most of the time, im too busy to play, esp lately. ok...i'll look into rv6..i'll let u know when i get it

hi guys...quick question: i had my antenna sitting on my dash before and i was worried that it was too obvious to outsiders. i moved it inside the dash behind the unit itself. however, i forgot to check the connection status before putting it inside. after i put it inside the dash, i looked at the status. at the green antenna that has bars has one bar...but the pics behind it have 6-7 orange sats. can anyone tell me what is optimal and what i'm suppose to be expecting? thanks guys

hey misfit, i have a remote start installed in my car as well and i wanted to know if my keypad to unlock my car will still work. i tried it yesterday and it set off my alarm and it scared the shit outta me. i drive a 1999 xlt ford explorer and i was under the impression that they would still work. does installing an alarm and remote start make those void? because if it does still work, i need to go back to my installer and let him know what da heck is up. thanks for your help

i did the exact same thing but i had to switch the camera around because my suc latch was covering the camera.

ok..im in my editor right now and when i put in 500/240 under pixel dimension, the pic looks horrible, does it show up better on the d3? do i not touch document resolution or document print size then? maybe im not doing this right.

is there a specific resolution/size that works best or does it not matter? so that's all we need to do? just drop in photos in a cdr? sounds easy enough.

hey guys..thanks to your help i got everything working. i connected it to the black wire with the pink stripe. i had to look deep into the panel because there were 5 wires that were black with a pink stripe. so after a week of getting it to work when i went into reverse the cam came on when it was supposed to. however...i was adding some more stuff to my car today and when i went into reverse, the cam did not come on. i checked the settings, and the cam was on. i manually turned it on in map mode and it worked. but it will not turn on when i go into reverse automatically anymore. whatever i ho

so it seems like i need to do it myself. misfit, i sent you a pm asking you about procedure. some people have said i needed to drill holes in my existing brackets, some have said i do not...a tad confused. help is appreciated. thanks

mine has not been super great...def not as clear in some areas as it has been with my factory unit. where did you mount your gps antenna? i have mine sitting on the dash, but im contemplating doing what some people have said about putting it under along with the unit. i have a metal piece that i can use, just don't want to take everything out again just yet...i'm sure you know what i mean

did the spacers do anything at all to fix it or not worth the trouble? yea..im really tired of taking it in and out just because i feel like ima ruin it and being the anal retentive that i am, i will end up breakign it because it's not perfect. but yea..from your pics, yours sits out much further than it does mine..mine is a good 2 inches in deep. any more info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

thanks for the info...he better not be lazy, i didn't pay him to be lazy. btw, i finally found the correct wire for the reverse cam. there were 5 wires that were black with a pink stripe. took a bit of time to figure out, but got it done finally. now, all i need it for it to sit more flush and i'm good to go. if he is too lazy, i may have to do it myself...vt, will you be able to be more specific if i have to do it myself? thanks

so it shouldn't be a probem for the installer to do right? because when i asked him he said that it was the furthest he could go. if i tell him to drill holes in the bracket, he should know what to do right? i just feel that i might be undermining his work. i know i paid him to do and he should do it as i like...but what are the chances he said it can' be done... i'm just being paranoid now...
