  1. I now have Garmin XT running on my F500BT under LeetLauncher ! - The problems I'm having are as follows: * There's no audio in Garmin XT even though there is audio in Corel and Igo8. * Garmin XT doesn't save any new settings. After I leave the XT program, I have to set it up again when I re-start. Also - Upon exiting XT, The unit goes back to a blue windowsCE screen instead of LeetLauncher. Any suggestions would be appreciated - Thanks !
  2. Is there any way to disable the "TTS Voice Volume" on the rocker knob of the F500BT? I do a lot of zooming in and out - The fact that TTS V V is always activating no matter how careful I am while zooming, is maddening. Any help will be appreciated.
  3. Just a quick "Thanks" for this mod. After lots of tweeking - I think my GPS is now perfect (at least until the next mod) Cheers
  4. - turn "off" the Off-Route Recalculation - I am developing - a button on the map screen for route recalc - I am developing - Tracking Up in 2D - sorry... if you load saved route from destination menu then you will be in navigation mode, so recalculation will run. to avoide that you have 2 possibilities - turn off gps (through navi settings) - load saved route through map mode (where are the buttons route, cursor, find, fit etc). By that way you will be into the map screen (not navigation) and recalculation will be switched off, so you can simulate, investigate the route etc till you
  5. Many thanks to everyone for developing this mod - And support from BorisM is better then any paid customer support I've ever gotten! I was going to send my 500BT back for a refund but I have decided to keep it because I've learned a lot from this thread and I'm going to keep hacking my unit in 2.0. The only other items I'd like to see are: 1) The ability to turn "off" the Off-Route Recalculation as you can do in the stock Igo8 package (or) 2) Just turn off auto recalculation altogether and add a button on the map screen for route recalculation 3) Tracking Up in 2D (Yea, I know - not gon
  6. This only works on the first version of Yuri's mod (which includes an off-route calculation on/off switch) I found these lines commented out in file “navigatemap.uiâ€. ;;?? runif vAutoReplan L"ASK" 'vAutoRecalc.set 0' ;;?? else_run 'vAutoRecalc.set 1' ;;?? runif vAutoRecalc 1 'vAutoReplan.SET L"AUTO"' ;;?? else_run 'vAutoReplan.SET L"ASK"' When I re-enable these lines – It does set the off-route recalculation to off, However it stays off So I'm getting there ! Since I'm not a programmer, I'm wondering if anyone knows how to make this switch functuinal (and/or)
  7. I'm using the new nav mod posted my borism which added a switch for Turn off/on "Off Route Recalculation". Does anyone know how to make this switch functional ? I can physically turn it off but it will always default back to "on".
  8. I wouldn't be too worried about the European price. That price probably includes VAT and other additional costs that don't exist in the US. There are a lot of products sold in the US that go for much more on the other side of the pond. I know it's off topic and may sound a bit jealous: This is the reason for the current turmoil in the world economy. Especially you guys in the US have been susidised to fuel economic growth. Fuel, cars, housing, clothing and consumer goods are either at a discount to world market prices or are financed without any security behind to back the loan. If the
  9. Wouldn't it be easier to just add it to SYS.TXT -- no need to mess with archives then. And something is definitely wrong with your archiving... Rezipping an unzipped DATA.ZIP should work, as long as the structure is still there... I originally added it to sys.txt and it didn't work. So i thought that the unit might be bypassing that file. And I don't have any idea why my zip files are not working - I didn't change any of the structure. I'm doing a virus scan now.
  10. Actually - add that line to the older skin - the one that has the switch for "automatic re-route" Thanks -
  11. Strange. If it is WinRAR, are you sure you are compressing it as ZIP file and not RAR (silly, but just in case). Also, are you sure you are telling it to keep folder structure when compressing the archive? Open the one that does not work and see if the folder structure is still there. With this skin, you can increase the time it takes before autoreplan starts (this one does save for sure, I have it changed) -- raise that, and it probably will give you the route you want with minimum nags. Also, you could set auto_replan to off in SYS.TXT. DOn't need to mess with archiving then. T
  12. What ZIP utility are you using now? Generally, WinRAR or 7-Zip work the best -- you need to make sure that changed pioneer.ini is being written to the same folder inside the archive. Never tried turning auto-rerouting off, will test later... Thanks! I don't know why but most (if not all) modern GPS manufacturers don't offer the option to turn off auto reroute except IGO. I was happy with my old Magellans that didn't nag me every 2 seconds, and I often find that the first chosen route is best - Which I like to get on and off of and keep zoomed out. I've been using 7-zip and the sta

  14. Oops - I guess I jumped the gun - Seems that the on/off for the "auto Reroute" is not working. I can click it to off but it just turns itself back on again. Is there Any way to get this functioning? Also, I tried modifying my pioneer.ini file. However, when I re-zip it up, it fails to work. Is there a different type of zip utility that I should be using? Thanks - njzzzz
  15. This Mod Rocks ! I just purchased a 500BT and saw that it had potential, but found that it was buggy and some of the necessary functionality was missing. I was thinking to return it especially because I had no way to turn off the "auto Reroute" and it kept entering TTS voice setup when I was zooming via the front knob. This mod fixed both of these and I'm keeping it now! The only thing I'm waiting for now is 2D, North Up and it will be perfect. Thanks Everyone - I'm looking forward to hacking it further ! Cheers
