does anyone know of a way to roll back their ipod touch 2nd gen?

I am new to this forum and havent hacked or modded my F700BT at all. I recently updated my ipod touch to the 4.0 and now randomly while im playing music off my touch the unit will just restart and freeze at the loading screen until i disconnect my touch from the cable... anything to help would be awesome, thanks in advance

i an a complete noob, just wondering if i can download the X700 update into my f700 with no problems or will i have to start hacking and modding it??

Im just curious because my local best buy has both for 599.99 canadian. im wondering what the main differencees if many... there are between the units
