  1. You guys were right. The original installer connected the wire to the power antenna! Now that it is hooked up correctly the camera works great! Thanks for all your help!
  2. I just wanted to let you know that I took the car to a different location and they hooked it up correctly with no problems. I can definitely confirm that the ILL wire works just fine for '03 Altimas. The auto dimming works great!
  3. Thanks for your help. I will take the car to the installation guy and I will tell him what I heard here. Now I have some good information I can use.
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. I will let you know what I find. I am amazed about how much you guys know about this unit! Thanks!
  5. It is an '03 Altima. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  6. This issue is puzzling and I haven't been able to find anywhere what the problem may be. I got the unit 'professionally' installed and the guy told me that he didn't know what the issue was. Basically, the camera would only work if I am listening to FM Radio. If I am listening to XM, AM radio, a CD, or the Library, the screen would just be all black. It looks like it tries to connect to the camera because it goes to the camera mode and it shows the CAUTION message but it is pitch black. On the other hand, the camera works perfectly if listening to FM radio. This applies to the split scree
  7. I have read on other posts about the ILL wire but I am making a new post because I think my problem is slightly different. I got the system 'professionally' installed and I was told that the day/night setting of my car wasn't going to work because the polarity of my car and the one of the Nav unit were not compatible. Forgive my ignorance but I believed what the guy said; however, I thought that I could live without the automatic dimmer but at least I could use the day/night setting on the touch screen... ... it turns out that that doesn't work either! I called Pioneer and they told me
  8. I had the same problem when installing it in my '03 Altima. I just trimmed the top and bottom edge a little to make the opening a little larger.
  9. Look for an option in your cell phone that allows you to send all contacts via Bluetooth. It is usually under Advanced options. Be aware that if you have multiple phone numbers under one person's name, you will get several entries for the same person, one for each phone number stored.
