Update I just switched the aftermarket cable I bought from a local car stereo store with cable that came with my F90BT. CD-IU230V genuine Composite iPod cable. Guess what now it charges and plays audio or video at the same time. Thanks Jeff R

Does the metal plate really help ? Or is it just so the magnet on the antenna will hold the antenna in place

I am running an F90BT 3.0 I noticed on the source menu the USB Icon changes to an IPOD Icon when i plug in my Ipod touch 32 Gb second gen. And the Ipod says CHARGING is not supported. I heard of an interface adapter to reduce voltage to 5 Volts. Anybody hear of this ? If I use the factory USB cable that came with my Ipod it charges just fine. But to be able to play music or video I use CD-IU230V cable.

To cmgeye what model do you have ? I have a F900BT & F90BT both of them work the same Just before the NAV Voice comes on the systems mutes and the same when I have an incoming Cell phone call. I am not sure but maybe your bypass is not working or wired properly.

Thanks terron. Yes I read that as well. I did get a CD-RB20. The installation sheet say's The CD-RB20 must plugged into the radio first. " IF A IP-BUS Device is currently plugged into the radio, disconnect the IP-BUS cable from the radio and Reconnect it to the IP-Bus input on the PIO/P-AUX. Connect the External device being used to the RCA inputs of the PIO/-AUX " I am going to try this tonight I'll let you know. Thanks Jeff R link http://www.pie.net/

Thanks Terron. I tried the CD-RB10 cable into the blue port on my GEX-P920XM and was not able to get it to work. I might need to use the CD-RB20 its powerd and can be in line with the IP-bus circut. What is EXT1 & EXT2 used for ?

I have F90BT. I would like to know If I plug in a CD-RB10 cable into the blue port on my GEX-P920XM and an audio source pluged into the cable will the EXT1 or EXT2 become active. I have a rear DVD player and would like to have the audio come thru the system. Thanks Jeff R.

Now that I have 3.0 on my F90BT I see billboards on the freeway, very nice but they cover the clock. Is there a way to relocate the clock to the upper left side on the screen. I like to see the clock all the time. Any body know how please let me know. Thanks Jeff R.

To any one who knows I have F90BT I would like to know if their is a way to mute the Nav voice. If I am on a long road trip and need to stop and get off the freeway for gas the unit tells to get back on. I dont want to hear this thing every time I need Gas. Thanks Jeff R

I did 3.0 Upgrade on F90bt. All whent well. I just tried 2.3 test mode in my unit running 3.0 It works just fine Test Mode 2.3 688 KBs It downloads in .rar You must unzip and then put it on 2 Gb SD. After farther review To any one who can help After 3.0 update voice control does not work or respone. What should I do ? I press the button and the sound turns off for a 1/2 second and then comes back on. It worked before, not that big a deal I do not realy use that fuction that much. But it's nice to have. Hey Guys I just did 3.0 upgrade it seems to pretty good. It went smoth only one small problem. On the upgrade it got to 5% and said it had an error, (PRESS YES TO RETRY) I pressed yes it went all the tru no problems. It seems faster and sounds better or least I can see the clock now. I don't see very well. It takes about 45 Minutes. You should print your password from Pioneer if you need to reinstall your software it will work in that same unit only. I don't know if card NO.1 can used by itself. But it did reboot to the top menu. Thanks for all the help you guys

Update Something is wrong with with my unit the USB doesn't work. I shipped my unit back to Pioneer under warranty Witch I think is good customer service. And if they can fix it I'll be very happy. The MSN-Direct does not work either I think it needs a new FM reciver,But I don't know. I would perfer an exchange unit since this is the third time it whent back to Pioneer. I guess they are not testing the unit they repair properly ! Will see I will update you guys after I have the unit reinstalled in my wife's car 2004 Pontiac Vibe. P.S. the service part is good, The repair I am not sure.

I bought mine from electronicsoutlet.com on E-Bay F90BT Refurb complete with all brand new cables manuals and disc sealed from Pioneer. My first unit I recived from them did not not work properly. Everything worked but did not get GPS signal. Made one phone call to Darren at customer service and he sent me another unit no question asked great customer service. BTW it works great. Just finished the install. Anyway good luck. If your perfer NEWEGG they sell the X910BT $879.99 Updated model of F900BT

Anybody know ? Should my USB charge my I pod any time ? Is their a setting to turn on. I switched AV 1. To I pod and still did not charge my phone or IPod touch. F900BT

I am heading out of town for a two thousand mile ride. Ten days off. I have my MSN-Direct, My Ipod Touch, my DVD collection, my Cds, my Wife, Two dogs and my three year old Luke. And my Avic-F900BT. Just Up graded from F900BT working just fine to a F90BT so I can put F900BT in my wifes car (Joan) After the install of the F90BT The map screen shows me to be 746 miles away in L.A. I am in Tucson ? Checked Navi settings it shows no GPS signal. Tried a reset three times. Then I Changed the antenna (Just in case) still no signal. I thing the unit is bad. I am going to exchange it. Unless somebody has a fix ? Put my old F900BT back in and it works just fine, so it's not a wire or installation problem. Thanks Jeff R.

I don't know if you ever got your 3.0 upgrade, but if not I would cancel it and Order it from CRUTCHFIELD.com Thay have it on sale for $59.99 plus $7.00 freight. I only waited a week to get it. It's coming today from UPS. The tracking no. says it's due to be delivered today. I do not have anything to do CRUTCHFIELD just Gooled the update and noticed the price, they also have it in stock.
