  1. Has anyone found a solution to this problem that doesn't require putting together relays and such? I keep hoping Pioneer will release a firmware update to fix this issue but it doesn't seem like that's likely. I have a 30GB 5.5gen Ipod and I thought about getting the newest 160GB iPod Classic to see if that fixes the issue. I know it's a problem with the avic, but that iPod may start up differently or something and may be ok since it has a newer OS? Can anyone tell me if they've had this same problem when using a newer iPod Classic?
  2. Bump...? Am I the only one that's had this problem? Anybody know of anything I can try to fix this besides calling Pioneer and having to ship the head unit off?
  3. So if the apple authentication chip is different in the f series and x series, what difference does it make? Does it support more iPods or something? And does the LED backlit screen of the x series look that much better than the flourescent tube of the f series?
  4. I'm having a problem with my F700BT, when I try to do a VR Database Update on my iPod, it says it's "updating VR database... please wait" and it never goes away! I've taken hour long trips with it on and even after an hour, it still says it's updating. Finally I'll press the menu button and it'll say that it was unable to update the VR database. I only have a 30GB iPod that's not even full so it shouldn't take a long time. In fact, it used to work just fine until recently and it would only take a minute or so. If I press the voice control button to speak a command, the unit never goes to
