Yes you are right theres no way to plug any remote with the radio until they create a new bluetooth remote ... thats sad !

Did you try the Reset hole ? in front on the top left next to the Eject because ive tried it. If im using USB it takes like 3 minutes before playing it when its booting up , otherwise the Cd play after 10 - 15 sec

interesting I'll test this out when I get home from work today ive tried today and its working fine for me i got a storm 9530 .. dont know if they got some probleme with the iphone

Its working fine with the Blackberry storm 9530

if you want an hint with the oem knob just put a little paper in the back hole then put it back. your knob will be at the right space and you can even acces the VR option to the voice recoignition without falling back !

Hi For your first question it is by default the last source when it boot up. Try to put it on CD then remove the SD card and boot it should work without the SD card pluged in for your second question i dont have a clue its working fine for me im living in Québec / Canada
