dakranii , also check the manufactured date on box and on unit. i used the 2 wire bypass on a june 06 unit. the box said aug 06 and the unit said june 06 . i kept getting emergency brake error . all i did was put in ducatiboy's bluetooth fix and it was allset.. it is worth a shot.. good luck

Just an FYI as to what my process was. I bought from Crutchfield, and included one of their 'Installer Network" cards for a Navagation install. It cost $200.00 and you have to go to a shop on their list of approved installers. The good part is it is a lifetime warranty on the install and it is a fixed price. It makes sense. you do not bring in a piece of steak to a restaurant and ask them to cook it for you.. the parts is were the business pays his rent, utilities,ect.. my dad is a mechanic and has his own shop if a customer brings his own parts he charges him more. so the moral to the story is buy the z1 where you want it installed or do it yourself... i had a horrible experience at circuit city and now i am going to bring it back have them pull out the z1 and i am going to another shop that knows what they are doing and purchase it from them and have them install it... if there

thanks ducatiboy . it is a fm transmitter built into the dvd player . i also had a power amplified aentena installed . on the overhead itself i am able to access the transmitter it even allows me to change the frequency. that is why i can not figure it out. i think circuit city just wants to get rid of me . they took 4 days to install my z-1 and then they forgot to connect the gps antena so i had to go back. then the camera would not work when i put veh in reverse. i went there 6 times . this site has helped me so much i printed up posts and made them fix all the problems this is my last one

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH Y Z-1. I HAD CIRCUIT CITY INSTALL MY Z1 AND A OVERHEAD DVD PLAYER WITH PLAYSTAION 2 . THE OVERHEAD IS A 9' DIRECTED DVD PLAYER WITH 2 WIRELESS HEADPHONES AND I BUILT IN FM TRANSMITTER. MY PROBLEM IS I CAN NOT GET THE FM TRANSMITTER TO WORK. IS THERE A SPECIAL WAY TO HOOK IT UP TO THE Z1 OR SHOULD IT AUTOMATICALLY CONNECT TO THE Z1.THE PEOPLE AT CC DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO IT . SO I AM RESEARCHING IT AND I AM GOING TO BRING IT BACK TO THEM. Just wanted to know what most of you recomend xm or sirrius for the z-1.. I have a 2003 yukon xl and my fm stations come in terrible. My stock unit was crystal clear.
