  1. I'm not sure why, but the subwoofer will stop hitting the correct beats when the volume gets turned up to like 45+ DB. I have it set to medium loudness, level 0 for the subwoofer level on the headunit itself, and the gain on the amp at half. Using a SAE-1200 Sundown amplifier with a 2005 RE XXX15 Sub. All hooked up correctly, just not sure what is going on!!?> I read something somewhere saying that it is the auto-detect feature that may be causing the problem, but no idea how to turn this off or get it right so that I can play the subwoofer louder.. because I know it is nowhere close to
  2. Can we get this post stickied? I searched for hours trying to fix my headunit until I came across this guide which took care of my problem the first time around. It is apparent that this guide fixes any and all troubles you may have with the F series headunits as it has fixed mine, and another guy "rheller1" who posted about it a few hours ago.
  3. You are welcome I had tons of trouble too until I found that guide.
  4. While on the blue screen, use the combination UP, UP, DOWN, MENU, LEFT, RIGHT do it slowly as you will see a small star in the bottom middle of the screen for each button press.
  5. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=27155 Follow the guide again, don't miss a step. The problem that I had was like yours, but mine would go into test mode and reboot itself and if you look down @ step 9 it says if testmode reboots then just install 2.06. The issue I had was I took just the image files from the 2.06 update and tried to use those to update, but what really worked was putting the entire 2 folders downloaded from pioneers website onto a formatted SD card and starting it up, which made the unit go into update mode after the pioneer logo.. a white screen that
  6. he powered it up in front of me and showed me that it loaded up, when I installed it in my car it asked for the password. I called him and he didn't know what was going on, it wasn't something that he did.. something happened from the transfer of his shop to my car that it locked itself.
  7. ..., it is not stolen merchandise you prick. It was an extra unit that was returned by the customer to the shop and never sent back to pioneer. The owner of the shop is a close personal friend of mine and would never lie/sell me a stolen unit. Plus it was already out of warranty, but thanks.
  8. Despite what the members had to say about my issue, I searched for hours on end and found a fix. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=27155 This fix worked for me 100% correctly and my headunit is now functioning properly other than an issue with the rear door speakers.
  9. I tried all of those steps to no avail. I guess I will go ahead and test the internal amp and possibly have to buy an amp for the rears. I went through all the settings, but couldn't find anything that may be prohibiting them other than the settings you suggested.
  10. My friend who is a semi professional car audio installer just did mine but we have a problem. The unit was having trouble asking for a password but he left to drive home before we got around the problem so he had no time to test the setup completely. Anyway I got the unit working but for some reason I am not getting any sound from the rear speakers. I took off the rear door panels and tested the wiring to the crossover with an AA battery and am getting clicking out of them so I know those are correct. I have them wired directly to the headunit as I only have an amp for the front speakers so we
  11. I bought an F90BT from my local car audio shop second hand, and I know that it was not stolen yet it is asking me for a password when I boot it up. I tried to get around it by putting an update SD card in before it booted up but no luck. I have searched this forum and many others and everyone is saying to contact pioneer, which I will happily do on Monday but for now I am looking for some sort of fix.. if one exists. Ugh, I am really pissed because I just spend 8 hours on a car audio install and now the headunit has me locked out. I tried resetting it with no luck.. If anyone has any help
