Might be a silly question, but here goes anyway... Why is it necessary to update Windows CE to install a hacked 3.0? I'm asking because my F7010BT (firmware 2.006) won't stay in Windows (using testmode 2.3) after a CE upgrade (the unit shuts down). Does anybody think it's worth a shot trying to just format MyFlashDisk and copy the X90BT files in there?

Last week, I successfully restored my f7010bt using this guide, so the files work.

Same thing for me. I have an F7010BT. CE update goes fine and when I load the test mode card it boots up and after 2 seconds of the test mode environment, the screen goes black. The unit is still powered on because I can hear it humming, but the buttons turn off.
