hi 34by151, thanks for that, its brought up the backup. when i click on yes, it brings back up the WinCe screen. is there a progress bar? is it backing up? how will i know when its finished? thank you for your help, you are de man.

hi 34by151, followed your instructions, however,when the unit boots up it has an erroe message "Backup directory not found onstorage Card. Directory:"\Myflash Disk\Backup" is missing. Exiting... then it brings up the WinCe screen. the card definitely has the three directories. and its a 8 gig card, just formated fat. When i extracted, using winrar, Update 2 asked to write over the Update 1. I let it do that, thats right yeah? Any ideas?

hi 34by151, I've screwed something up.... now the menu says Version: Not Found I'm clearly not very clever... I couldn't get the BT to update because it kept failing, so I thought I would have a go at fixing the lack of voice guidance (i tried your earlier suggestions but they didn't seem to work), so I notices you had a share directory on 4Share called APL2 sounds.rar (or something like that), and the geneous that I am that I am, thought great, this might fix the missing sound!!! i uploaded it to my flashdisk overwriting all the files. this didn't fix the voice guidance but now th

hi, i deleted everything in the save file. it does start the update but after a while stops with error message, cant remember exactly what it says but it fails. ps, tried the 3.3 uk with same result. If i need to, how do i reload wince???

hi 34by151, tried to pair another phone with no luck.. then i downloaded bletooth ver 2.9 and 3.3 us and uk versions (couldnt find AU versions), and tried to update using the phone menu, in all the variants it said that it failed to update... i tried the deleting of the save folder and copying over the parrot files as suggested in the forum, stil no cigar. am i missing something??? thanks for your help.

Hi 34by151, Just installed the latest beta and its FabO. playing with the settings it occured to me as I'm sure to most of the forum members who have seen your work, why isnt pioneer breaking your door down??? Couple of little things; the speed zone reading is too high in the white box so that it covers the text above, I cant find the 3d button, is it there? the voice guidance just does not want to work, is there a global switch? and the bluetooth has lost the previous pairing and wont pair with my iphone 3gs. thanks again, Mark

No natter what I try, I can't go back to v2, does anyone out have v3 avaliable for download for Australia. I spoke to pioneer and they don't even have it....please help as my unit is no more than a bt device at the moment

No I didn't get v3 from pioneer. Is that the problem???? Is v3 availiable for free?? If yes then where can I get it? And if not how do I go back????

Status quo. Still has that blasted message down the bottom and the version is still 2. This is bewildering. Am I really doing something wrong here? Stupid question. Obviously, I am. Does anyone actually know what I have done wrong? I have downloaded the 2 parts. Extracted them (using winrar) onto root of sd card, overwriting as part of the second part extraction. Swithched the device on which went into WinCE desktop went to mydevice. Copied myflash disk file from the sd card over myflash disk on the avic, overwriting. Rebooted the device. That's it have missed something? Have I screwed

ok, i'm reloading v3. any idea what the device should = for f500bt? I didnt upload v3 seperately to the maps. I thought it was all in one update posted in this thread??? is that not right? also just tried to use the restart app from the WinCE desktop and it came up with cannot find 'Restart' (or one of its components)... do i have a corrupt v3 update??? cheers

cant switch to maps, it selects and flicks but doesnt switch to it just like navi settings. ps it now wont go into testmode!!! im pullig my hair out now... When you say NAVI is not working If you switch to Map right after the Mainmenu or Audio starts. You will see Igo loading data. What item does it stop on? i just discovered that the bluetooth still works and i can bring up all the phone menu as well as the av source menu just not the maps as it still has that system startup in progress message displayed. when i select the settings tab just below this messagei get the settings menu and i have access to both system settings and av settings but not navi. does any of this help to figure out what i did wrong? but more importantly, what can be done now????help...

hello again, well there seems to be some progress...but still no cigar. it now hangs on top menu screen with "system startup in progress. Please wait." (it does come up with a message that mobile phone is connected, then continues with message as above). I gave it a good 10 minutes, but nada. I have also discovered that during all this copying to and fro, I have erased my original backup...I know, I'm an idiot. does anyone have a backup of f500bt for australia? What are my options? help......please

hello, I have followed your instructions and was able to extract both files onto the SD card overwriting some of the files. I then copied the content of MyFlash to the device and rebooted. the device seems to go into an endless loop of restarting. there is some sort of counter in the top right corner which does advance as time progresses. is this normal? how long should it take if it is. I had it going for about 20 minutes before i powered the device down. any suggestions????
