  1. A few more questions and I am ready to button it up. The Metra Harness has a blue/white wire for the amp. I don't know if my vehicle has an amp or not but I was told by a guy at Car Toys to connect it to the Blue/white wire on the Power Conector cable. There is only solid blue wire on the Power Connector. There is a blue/white wire on Connector #1 labeled "System Remote Control". Also should I connect the Metra harness illumination wire (solid orange) to the Orange/white wire on the Power Connector? bajateam2 instructions ran a illumination wire from the headlight switch which I c
  2. I am halfway through bajateam2's outstanding step by step install of a (2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD AVIC-Z1) and I have a few questions if anyone can help me out. Here is the equipment list I am installing on my 2005 Yukon XL w/ a factory Bose sound system: - AVIC Z1 post June build. - Pioneer GEX-P10XMT Nav Traffic - Pionner CD-IB100II Ipod Adapter - PAC SWI-PS Steering Wheel Interface - ND-BT1 Blurtooth unit - Rear backup camera My questions are: 1. Does the miniplug from the PAC Steering Wheel Interface (Controller Output?) go into the "Digital Out" port on the back of th

I am considering whether or not to try the install myself. How much was yours? I want to have the XM module, Bluetooth and Ipod as well as steering whell controls. The local Cartoys said to expect $400-500. Before I told them I wanted the additional modules. Any idea on the cost of a rear camera? Want to install this in a 2005 Yukon XL
  4. Called PAC and they informed me the same. Said I would need a CM1 OS2 BOSE part to keep the door chime and use of the subwoofer for the Z1. I didn't see this mentioned above. Any advice on how to do this? Also was told no back seat controls for the Z1 if I use the Steering Wheel controller. If this is so I wonder if I could drop in the BOSE radio/CD in the rear controller space and let the passengers use headphones. Thanks for the help RBex
  5. Thank you for step by step instructions. I called Crutchfield to get a quote and referred your code. I am planning an install on a 2005 GMC Yukon 2500 which should be very similar to your truck. The rep said the steering wheel control unit would not work with the Z1 radio. Did you get the same answer from them? Does the PAC Steering Wheel control unit work in a GMC SUV wired for a BOSE system? RBex
