  1. Sir, there is one way to find out about your problem. let me explain; when you start you vehicle and your HU is starting up, wait until you see the Main screen with the little warning sign and click setting on the bottom right corner and then click navigation. If there is a problem, you would see a little error windows. (i.e, can't find maps, or something like that) For the maps, if you want to use navteq, put your navteq maps and basemap file on your map_nt folder.
  2. Does the same concept apply to the building files and terrain fiels? (.3dl, .3dc, .dem, etc..)
  3. Hmmm, how would that work? the Navteq and the TA maps have the POI's with the same file name. Eg. Navteq POI's for Canada are called 'canada.poi' and the Teleatlas POI's are also named 'canada.poi'. One will just overwrite the other one as they cannot both exist in the same folder with the same file name I would like to know how that work too. Is there a setting that can tell igo what file name to look for?
  4. IDT or anyone, On sys.txt, I have it to read map from Sd card. Everything else has to be on the HU for it to work. How Can I have igo read the entire content from sd? (POI, Building, Dem, Scheme, etcc) Should I stated on the sys.txt? something like: [POI] 1=",POI, \Storage Card\iGO,\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo,"
  5. I live in the US and i have never see that "ft" on mine. So a suggestion would be deleting the igo folder and start fresh again. Just do one mod at a time! (Do a Backup just in case)
  6. Looks great! One question: Can you add subcategories to let say Hacks/Mods? Would be nice to have: F Series ---- --General --Troubleshooting --Hacks/Mod ----joe mods ----john mods
  7. IDT, which config file refer to the dem file? Looking into my dem folder, I found out that it was empty. I found some dem files and I was wondering how to know if the maps are using the dem file or any way to have the some dem on my maps. they all look flat.
  8. IDT, can those signboard be mod on size and position? the reason I ask is cause, if you are able to move it under the top black strip where the time is and make it a lit smaller, you might be able to use the top part to put more shortcut (more real-state for future features). just a thought!!!!
  9. I think the problems is the font size. It sure look good, but you clearly can see on the pic that the font size is way too big. My nav size of the unit is not mod and have never had that problem. try to use smaller font sizes.
  10. yes, iGO will read the CONTENT folder in the SD car instead of the CONTENT folder in the unit, so pretty much copy everything from CONTENT in the unit to the CONTENT in the sd and on the map_nt add the navteq maps, for the sys.txt try this [switchmap] changer="\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\Extension\MapChanger\MapChanger.exe" 1=",map_ta,\Storage Card\iGO8,\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo," 2=",map_nt,\Storage Card\iGO8,\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo," let me know how it goes IDT, Thank you! Since I only want NT maps on sd card and leave TA on unit, I changed only #2. Well, it wor
  11. Here is a theme that I have been using for some time. I have updated this theme with Guga's buttons. (Thanks to abb1 for helping me with the buttons) This is just for the AV part of the unit. Some pic: (sorry for the bad pic) It look way better than the pics! Download the image file here: http://browntownpr.fileave.com/downloads/Image.rar
  12. I think you need to add the 2nd argument in your line 2: 2=",map_nt,\Storage Card\Content\iGo,\My Flash Dish\APL2\iGo," But why not try IDT's suggestion from BorisM? thank you for the suggestion. I can also try BorisM suggestion but I think that would make the unit look for the teleatlas map on the sd card also or I'm wrong?
  13. here's aquote from BORISM regarding that, haven't tried it but should work I'm trying to do this with the NT maps, so I got: [switchmap] changer="\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\Extension\MapChanger\MapChanger.exe" 1=",map_ta,\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo,," 2=",map_nt,\Storage Card\Content\iGo,," ..on my sd card: \Content\iGo\ -map_nt -Building -poi ...No success! I click on changer and click on Navteq logo, unit reboot and when I check maps, it said TeleAtlas. Any suggestions?
  14. IDT, thank you for the signboard fix, it work perfect. Also got trip computer working with navteq. Also, I found this two new (2009.09) basemap for teleatlas and navteq and it seem to improve my map a little. here is the link: Basemap TeleAtlas http://browntownpr.fileave.com/downloads/Basemap%20TeleAtlas.rar Basemap Navteq http://browntownpr.fileave.com/downloads/Basemap%20Navteq.rar
  15. as far as i know tripcomputer problems cannot be caused by maps at all, no one has resolved this problem and no one has a clue how to, i have been using trip computer ever since and have not had any problem with the tripcomputer, this is i think a problem with either the unit or iGO itself, regarding the signboard, NAVTEQ maps don't have that much detail (signboard, speed limit signs, turn restrictions) as compared to teleatlas maps, well atleast here in canada, that's why the signboard is not showing up Agree with abb1, it has to be software releated since now is working fine with
  16. trip computer is a known problem on all mods laeding us to believe that the problem is caused by the unit, IDT, I just got back from a 30 min trip and here is what I found out: Trip computer did not work as I a previously mention but i was using navteq maps (No Trip computer, no signboard) on split screen, so, I used the map changer and went back to TeleAtlas. Now on split screen, Trip Computer work and signboard shows up. Hope you understand!
  17. IDT, I don't know if is a bug or my unit, but the trip computer does not work for me. All numbers stay on zero. I have tested several time. ...with the previous version of your mod it work!
  18. IDT, I didn't know about the volume knob. That is why I suggested the zoom in/out feature. Well, since I learn something new today, please disregard my suggestion. Sorry!!
  19. Now look at you!!!! What about all the garbage you just posted on the other thread? First of all, I did not requested the zoom in/out button for personal use. Since I read on the same thread that someone said that the on/off button was useless, that is way i thought about the zoom in/out button. i didn't know that you can do that with the volume knob. If I knew before I would have not requested the feature. So, instead of blasting away, why not pointing out the volume knob? ***My apologies to the owner of this thread for the above***
