the Z1 plays mp3 cds doesnt it? i was under the impression it just doesnt play MP3 DVD's

fair enough, im not knocking either unit, i just personally ordered a Z1 for my car the other day, my friends buying a d3, im sure both are great, now all pioneer has to do it take the features of the d3 and include it in there Z's to bad z2s didnt do more then what there going to do, maybe the Z3 will be the untimate! lol, good nav, good ipod control, 5 volt preouts! just a dream.

Only way i see the D3 beating the Z1 is price, and maybe the ipod speed, i would rather have HDD navigation over DVD based, thats just me, if you want a example, download a linux live CD mount usb key for saving settings and all that, use it, then install the OS from the live CD (ubuntu is a good one) thats a good test to see how hard HDD owns disk based. so like i said if you have the money go with the Z1.

NO I NO, the monitors have duel VIDEO in look at the diagram i drew i asked can the aux input INTO the ZE be played out the froutn while the REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT still plays the DVD from the z1

ok well another thing which way do you guys think would be better to wire the system. i understand diagram 1 would give people options say passenger 1 wants to watch a dvd from the avic z1, they would change to input "2" in there screens and there utalizing the output from the z1. now passenger 2 wants to play a game, they can change to input 1 on there screen (thus leaving the z1 out of the loop and playing audo and video right from the splitter.... next say i park and want to get in on the game of ps2 can i watch the AUX soarce upfrount without interpupting pasengers 1 play of the dvd?
