I remember reading somewhere on the internet about a limit on the number of files, folders, etc. on an USB drive. I'd be interested in seeing whether or not the Avic is able to read all your files if they are placed directly on the Drive: without any folders.

Copyright protected music files? Too many sub-folders? Issues like this are steering me away from this unit... So out of 32GB of music, what percentage of it can the U310BT read?

Thanks for the response. I'm currently deciding between the U310BT and the Kenwood Excelon x993. The Pio is about $150 more, depending on where you look, and MIGHT be worth it for the bling bling of having a double din screen for (theoretically) easier navigation of USB/iPod/iPhone controls, NAV, etc. Does the U310BT do a good job of reading from USB flash drives? ID3 tagging supported, reads and loads the files properly, etc?

i'm on the fence about this HU. before i make any decision i wanted to confirm that the BT issues are all remedied from this recent firmware update. Also, has there been any improvement in the GPS functionality? From what I read, the unit seems to be plagued by incorrect placement, lagging, etc.
