  1. Could someone tell me what that number next to a small house icon indicates on the main map screen? (on the screenshots in the first post the number is 9089 i think)... always a slight difference between the number on both sides too... i thought maybe it was distance to home but that doesn't make much sense and you wouldn't need to see that anyway so i'm thinking its something else... any ideas?
  2. guys, this will work with the F700, F710, F900 & F910 - maybe a few more... if you are already version 3 just stick the mods in they'll work out of the box, if you have v2 then you need to update the WinCE then plonk the mods in...
  3. ohh right thats interesting, with the official speedcam download there was just an spb file no text files so not sure how its managed to generate that one...
  4. actually, i don't know how useful that speedcam file i shared is, i loaded it onto the nav in the "proper" way and then what ended up in the folder was: speedcam.spdb speedcamupdates.spb SpeedcamUpdates.spud so not quite sure on the whole thing, are spud files and spdb files generated by the system?
  5. Thanks for saying you'll update the exit number in the blue circles - not been on this forum long so do you just add it to a to-do list then release v2.4 or something? On a side note, I'm having trouble getting my UK TTS voice (Serena) to work, have you made any mods which hard code Samantha to be the voice? (then again, I have tried Samantha and she doesn't talk either...) - I have deleted the contents of the save file and all that but only my standard (non-TTS) voice works... BTW: I have just downloaded the latest UK SpeedCameras spb file, would that be any good to share with people
  6. I've just found it on the Pioneer website that Text-To-Speech is a capability of this HU, so that's not the problem... So basically would anyone know if its likely to be the files themselves, or maybe a settings file? maybe a link to the problem is the fact that loads of different voices in different languages is listed when in fact only 2/3 are installed?
  7. I ask because I have an F710BT, however It is using X910BT US software updated to 3.02 EU In the language settings, I can choose unit language, which I have set to UK, and navigation voice which works fine on the standard UK voice (forgotten her name, maybe Pauline) but the TTS UK voice is Serena and when selected the sound mutes but no talking, same if I select Samantha (US)... Is TTS something that maybe the X910BT can do (hence Selena TTS and Samantha TTS are in the list) but my 710 can't? hence it doesn't work? I am also curious why loads of voices are listed, when in fact the
  8. yeah exactly, and since like I said my voice stuff isn't working, it leaves my out in the cold somewhat - I can't really use these modes if I don't know where I'm going... with regards to the second question I asked, I would still like to know the answer to this even if my voice stuff was working since I'm not a massive fan of voice instructions anyway... (often I use the nav for places that I know but still want the time of arrival and the like ) any ideas folkes?
  9. Maybe I'm being really blind, but where do you choose this setting? I have the two lots of UK voice zip files on the unit but like I said just get a muted second of music but no voice still... maybe if I can just point it to the right one? Had a good look through the nav settings but just can't see anything EDIT: you can pretty much ignore this I've just read somewhere that its in regional settings... thanks anyway
  10. Each of the boxes in the trip computer are shortcuts. The very last one on the right hides it again. The second to the last one resets it. As far as the map goes (if I recall correctly) it saves your position when you are navigating and not navigating. Just switch it in both places and you should be fine. Let me know if this is not what you are seeing and I will look into it. Alex Great thanks Gonna add a couple more foibles to the mix... 1) When in the speedo view or the dash view (and probably more), I don't get a number in the blue island circle, so don't actually kno
  11. This stuff is flipping brilliant, I went from being really ****** off at the whole thing since it knackered up during the official update, right now its all running and its allllll good Anyway, a quick question regarding the overlay trip computer in the latest EU update (thanks Merten ) - I press the time and it pops up and looks great, but how exactly do you switch it off? I would have thought pressing the clock again would do this but it doesn't - it is switched off another way? Secondly, the display mode seems to keep flicking back to 2D - once again is this me doing something wron
  12. yeah but that zip is a US one not UK, surely that wouldn't do the job?
  13. Yes I have! Still playing and testing but as it stands it seems I've cracked it First, I backed up my (albeit broken) 3.0202 image. I downloaded the 3.01 X910BT (US) Image from here: Server: ftp://www.turboss.com User: avicuser Password: Avic911 (by the way, on that server there is the main zip and a secondary (par2) file which seems to do nothing, so i didn't bother with it) Then into that, I merged the official UK 3.0202 update, then I merged in the latest EU Diaftia Hybrid along with the hacked ezrider.exe and licence file... Next I deleted all of the US stuff
  14. Can I ask, for the voice thing to work do I just need: • Voice_Eng-uk-f1.zip & • Voice_TTS-nua-eng-uk-f1.zip ? Or do I also maybe need the Voice_Tur-f21.zip file? What is the difference between these files? I ask because I spannered up my F710BT but found an X910BT backup and have used that, merged in the 3.02 update, merged in the Diaftia Hybrid & the latest maps and it all works except the voice, although I haven't deleted the save files yet which I have a feeling will help... Either way would like to know what the above files are and if they are all required
  15. Quick question: where in the Flash Disk file system are any settings that are set by the user? i.e. if I wanted to delete any files that are not there out of the factory, where would they be? I'm trying to create a completely fresh disk image...
