Nah I didn't get into that... I got upset when I found out they were marketing a new player when it was just the same old thing with a new update... who knows... we will see. He was telling me about the bluetooth update that is supposedly out that fixes the echo problem... anyway

Like I said... the pioneer rep and the CES booth told me that everything the Z2 has will be available as an upgrade on the Z1... he said that in a few weeks we should be seeing an update for the map software... he said they can actually go in and update it on the fly... kinda cool.

I was at CES and got inside info on the Z2 and got actual photos if anyone is interested... the update for the Z1 will make it exactly like the Z2... the Z2 is just shipping with the update installed per say...

Oops... just realized that I haven't been logged in when posting... oh well... well I pulled out the tv and reseated the antenna connector and all is well... I got reminded why I suspected the antenna in the first place... when I first installed the unit I pushed in the antenna and waited for the "click" you normally hear when seating those connections... I never got that.... so I pulled on the cable lightly and it came right out... so I just seated it in there really well and moved on... same thing is still happening... the connector never really locks in place... it is tight but I know it ca

Hey all, I just install my AVIC-Z1 monday and love it to death. My one gripe is I am in the fastest growing city in the us and everything is changing... I have certain places (school and work) that are older than 2 years and not on the map system at all. Is there any update out there or one planned? Also, is there a way to train the voice commands for certain operations... I cant get the "AV Operation" to work... it just wont recognize the command.... "Basic Operation" works.... strange....
