  1. Had it installed in my 2007 C230 Sport. Was told the AVIC wasn't compatible with the Mercedes amp and had to pay for a new amp and had to have new speaker wire run to each speaker. Real fun install!!! But it works pretty well and looks clean. Sirius is hooked up, Ipod in the glove box and connects to my Droid for calls. Sorry about the bad pic, took it while driving... also edited out the song title
  2. my ipod album art looks very low quality on the screen too. not too bad in the small icon, but basically unreadable in the larger view. I have an older ipod Nano, probably 2nd Gen (the version when they first came out with different colors and right before you could put video on them )
  3. I've got a 2007 C-Class Mercedes and had the Z110 professionally installed... apparently it was a big project that required a new amp and rewiring of all of the speakers. Was also told that they were unable to get the steering wheel controls or the factory microphone to work with the Z110, but I'm not sure if they were just cutting corners or not since they said they couldn't hook up the speed pulse either. At least they did the parking brake bypass. Even with the additional parts and 12+ hours of labor, it was still cheaper than Mercedes wanted for their factory nav, ipod and phone setup.
  4. So if mine says zero while my car is running, I can be pretty sure the installer didn't connect mine, right??? Do I really need it anyways? My installer was sort of a pain and I'd hate to be w/o my car again and have them take it apart again if I really don't need it.
  5. I'm pretty happy about the voice control on my unit. Seems to work well for the most part, as long as I wait for it to be ready as mentioned. The only trouble I have is when I need to "Change Source to Sirius Satellite Radio." Sometimes the unit responds correctly, but often it doesn't know what I'm saying or it just changes to source to FM.
  6. I had my unit installed at Al & Ed's Autosound in Thousand Oaks. Took them about a month to order all of the parts needed for the install, had to get new amp (was told factory amp wouldn't work), trim kit, the Sirius tuner/antenna, Ipod stuff and a bunch of other stuff on top of just the head unit apparently. I'm sure I paid way too much for it, but I no very little about car audio and I'm sure they knew that! Then after getting my car back it wouldn't play any discs at all!!!! Apparently they didn't even test it!! Was told unit was defective and they had to order and replace. Things
