    I just thought of something that could be causing this. I know house numbers have been off and that is due to map data. Anyone else seeing the cursor being of? I will look into some files as to what could be causing this.

     

    Question... when you noticed it was off was the unit in night mode or was it at night?

     

    Hi, i think i experienced it in both modes. However it appears that the cursor is'nt always off. I noticed that on some speed ways it did went to the right location on the map. I think that when taking turns, the effect is most noticeable. sometimes about 10+ meters.

     

    I am going away this evening for a small drive to the gas station, i will try and do some test.

    If you know any good ones let me know .

    Hi Ovalball,

     

    Thanks for the suggestion, that will probalby solve the issue. Your sure however that both should be set to =1 ?

    So then it would be :

     

    show_guidance_arrows=0

    show_guidance_strip=1

     

    I also noticed this is different from a defualt sys.txt.

     

    Diafta mod :

    [gps]

    port=7

    baud=9600

    default_latitude="34.05116"

    default_longitude="-118.24258"

     

    Original :

    [gps]

    default_latitude="0.0"

    default_longitude="0.0"

     

    You think this could solve my gps issue ?

    Hi all,

     

    I have installed the mod this afternoon and was overwelmed about all the settings i made.. So thats great :D.

    Good job to those involved in developing this.

     

    But i actually have a few question.

     

    I used to have nice green way pointers on the map, Instead of the bouncing black ones. Is there any option to change that back. Or maybe restore the whole 3D part (without the horizon) as it was a lot clearer and the map ran a lot smoother. And the highway signs now show the names next to each other instead of under. Is this normal ?

     

    Now i also have an issue with my GPS. While standing still the maps start to spin, like it doesnt no wich direction im facing. I used to have this problem before while running firmwarre 2.0 after mocing to 3.0 this was solved. Anybody has an idea on how to solve this ?

    Hello, i noticed this is a pretty old topic but i think this is your solution.

    Check the end of the post :

     

    Situation: Upon Startup the "System Startup in progress please wait..." message displays and stays on.

    Solution: You copy and pasted over the wrong EZrider. Use the one from the link in step 3

     

    Situtation: Upon Startup the system keeps self rebooting

    Solution: You may have some corrupted files from step 1. Try downloading them all again

    Hi I have a question that might seem stupid, but im givin git a try anyways.

     

    Ive got my F700BT in a seat ibiza.. Now when i set my car key into accessory mode the avic starts, then when powering the engine the avic reboots. When going from running engine to acc mode, the avic shuts down.

     

    Now this has been annoying me for quite a while, so i tried all sort of things like rewiring changing cabels etc etc..

     

    But... I noticed then when performing my FW upgrade in WIn CE mode, there was a short delay in the avic shutdown and engine poweroff. So i figured it mihgt be possible to do something with the software to keep it alive until i press a soft or hardware button to power it off.

     

    Or am i all wrong and is there no shouts thing as a avic that keeps itself powered on ?

  12. Firmware version 3.020200 from Pioneer?

    Pioneer offer FREE upgrades if you are already running version v3.00303. So if you can get your unit to run the 3.00303 like I did then it allows you to update to the 3.020200 upgrade from there website. :smile: for free. If you are running only v2 then it wont run.

    Can also confirm this works...

     

    Followed this post viewtopic.php?f=34&t=30216&start=15#p207534

     

    I did need to use the par files to repair the rar's

     

    I had then a F900BT EU running 3.00303 firmware.

     

    I then went to Pioneers uk support website and downloaded the 3.020200 upgrade (about 350MB) and used that to upgrade, this upgrade is only for people already running v3..... As mine was now running 3.003 it worked great.

    Hi, didnt you need to purchache a license ? yust download the firmware, put it on SD and boot the device ?

    no, this will not work. This is an update for version 3, not an upgrade from Version 2

     

    You could try the non-official upgrade as described in this forum

    Hi, in fact i can confirm this DOES work.. I have an EU F700BT and upgraded it from the official pioneer 2.009 to the 3.0 on this topic. I haven't seen any weird things except for the phonebook synchronisation, which stops after it reaches the letter M. but i haven't treid deleting all user settings yet..

     

    Good luck with your update its very simple and look great.. to me its an real improvement.

    Hi,

     

    I am in the same condition as you are, i have an f700bt and would like it to FW 3.0 but not before having compatible maps for IGO 8.3. I am from Europe also, so the posted maps in the how-to's wont work for us.

     

    I read somewhere that Teleatlas maps should work fine but i am not sure...

    Is there anyone who knows what maps to download ? i am sure ill be able to figure out how to install it myself.

    hi Im trying to get into testmode but to no avail, the unit yust boots like normal. Also the wiki is referring to 2 folders which i can not find in the zip file. http://avic411.com/wiki/index.php/Backu ... g_software

     

    Do i need to make my SD card bootable maybe ?

     

    i have an European f700bt with firmware 2 installed

     

    aha i know the problem now. I am running firmware 2.009 which is not supported by this testmode.

    Could someone please help me with the right testmode files. From what i read in earlier replys to this topic only the 0kb string that checks the firmware level should be added to get it to work...

  23. safety cams average speed limit.

    Hi,

     

    Here in Holland we have safety cams that measure your average speed from point to point over a few Kilometers. But the Avic seems to recognize it as 2 separate safety cams. Is there any way around this ? So it shows a different icon or something so i know i will have to stick to the speed limit till the 2nd " special" icon appears ? Because in this case the feature isn't reliable.
