its illegal to do a bypass but if we put a switch in its not looked down upon as that bad... really means nothing... weve put switches in cars before... what weve sed is there ebrake wont work.. i personally would have the switch its an advantage

no there are no ipod adapters that play video to the Z1 you would have to use a ipod A/V kit in which one side of the wires are video i.e. red,yellow.white and the other end is an ipod port that plugs into the bottom of the ipod

Titan... i have been torn between the two units too.. i like the 7100 because it has text to speech, bigger screen and its nav is Garmin i how ever have gone ahead and ordered the D3 from cruthcfield cuz whta i wanted out of my nav was fast ipod, bluetooth were my major two concerns for crutchfiels price... which is cheaper than my circuit city discount i got avic d3 ipod interface xm tuner bluetooth (btb200) rar view camera nd-bc2 3 year warranty for 1100... i was seeing the 7100 for at chapest 1200 on ebay and 1200 by a seller on this cite.. i figured im banking about 5

yes i did a pioneer radio the 5900 into an 06 civic with the pac... it sucked... but maybe its cuz i havent done pac in a while cuz we dont carry them anymore

from what ive learned you do need speed sensor for other indash units, pioneer doesnt require it. ur speed will still be recognized by gps signal but you mph might be 1mph off... you can hook up yours if you find it easily, it helps for when you lose gps signal, it still knows that you're moving for my car speed sense is by steering wheel, i would need a pulse sensor cuz my car sucks. your car you would need that jus look around... directechs doesnt show your car's VSS.

you do not need to hook up the VSS/speed snse wire for pioneer units

yes you need both antennas as previously posted... for your car what we usually do is unscrew your third brake light (located in rear above glass) and run the wires through. having the antennas in that location gives your good reception (XM) gps you can have the antenna pretty much anywhere but i suggest putting them both on the roof and run the wires thru the brake light

whats the downside if i dont hook up vss wire? just doesnt know my speed? cant show the cool screen which looks like 3 guages 1 one of which is speed? ... expected time on travel not correct? and what do you gain? all of the above?
