  1. Not necessary as an installer I never ever wire them up I don't know any other installer in any other location of my company that bother to wire it up. I didn't hook mine up, it helps but it isn't work the extra time in my opinion. Forget removing the cluster or anything just cut it, heatshrink it closed, call it a done deal.
  2. I have a BMW with an 8 speaker system and as an installer I could say have them re-check the connections. I know you have a Logic factory amplifier in your vehicle and although I normally don't work on Mercedes because of their fiber optic antennas (which my company can't incorporate anything with) cause issues, however my point being is something the RCA's are used to send the audio signal to the factory amplifier, which when split no longer gives you fade. Yet, I really doubt that may be the case here just go back and have the installer double check everything out.
  3. 06 Odyssey should have both a constant and a accessory wire on the wiring harness so it should shut down when the car is shut off completely or when a door opens. I just installed a deck in an 03 Odyssey I believe it was that share the same harness as your 06 Odyssey. I quickly just shut the car down and it turned off. Possibly an installer error or defective unit. Did you have factory navigation?
