If I have not exceeded 400 items in Albums & Artists - but I have exceeded 400 items in the Rock Genre, what happens? Does it just over-write the Genre data base, but leave the recordings intact in the Albums and Artists? This appears to be the case, but I need to verify on my HU. Anyone else have experience in this?

Note to the Genius' here in this thread: Can you give me more than 400 telephone contacts in the phone book?? Please.. pretty please...

Is there anyway to increase the limit of phone contacts you can upload past 400? Sorry I am in construction, and I plan to use this while I am on the road.

That's my problem. I don't get full access to all of the channels on the 3 presets. Only on one. Do I need to keep channel 1 on each of the presets for 20 minutes to acquire the channel list for each of these? Never mind I figured it out. You have to hit the mode button to load in the channels.

Gents: XM radio is showing up on Band 2 ( or on the radio "X2") with all the stations listed. But X1 and X3 are not showing anything. Do you have to have Xm reset the satellite signal and go to channel 1 for each of the two other bands ? Seems odd that the radio is fully programmed with the XM stations on one of the three XM bands, and it wouldn't copy over the radio station list into the other two bands. Andy

Disregard. I don't believe the instruction say to connect the Nav module to the Ipod Module. I just wasted 4 hours dicking around.

Guys: I am just finishing up a install of a Z2 upgraded to Z3 via Garret. I have subscriptions to XM Sat Radio & Navtraffic. I get a strong signal under XM status and a status of OK. I am displaying traffic updates. But I can't enter the XM Radio under the AV section to select XM to go to Channel 1 or Zero to get XM radio running. Anyone have an answer? Same symptom whether I have Garretts Z3 hard drive in or the original Z2 hard drive that came with it. I have IPOD and XM modules but no Serious. Thanks. Looks like I may go: Phase I: Avic with stock Bose speaker system. Includes modifying the dash for double din install from 1.5 din stock. Phase II: sound mitigation project, new amp/sub/front & rear speakers & possibly tweeters. Gents: I've been doing a little reading of the owners manual. It appears the unit has a built in amp and IF my NOVICE mind understood the manual: I believe you can drive a sub without a external amp at the same time as the front & rear speakers. I am HOPING that maybe I can gut the BOSE speakers front and rear, and maybe drop in a small sub at the same time as the installation of the head unit. 1] Your plan is reasonable. I highly recommend the hard drive that Garret sells. I personally have not bought one from him but when I upgraded my drive, it took about a month to collect all the hardware and software I needed and that was a REAL pain in the ass. Hi: Just purchased a used Z2 as I am getting ready to install it in the next couple months in my C5Z Vette. While I piece the rest of the parts I need to modify the dash of the Vette to accommodate the Z2 I have a few NOOB questions. I am hoping to just keep this all in one post so that I don't screw up while I do the surgery on the Vette. [1] Upgrade Z2 to Z3 HDD? I am thinking of just starting with a fresh Z3 from garrettoomey before I even install the unit in the car. Thinking I can just temporary power it up to expose the HDD and swap them out.
