  1. I think there's a changelog on pioneers website with details of the update. I'm after the latest update at the moment, anyone care to share.. for experimental purposes only mind
  2. yep.. the 3.000303 is what you update the unit to first as this is what's available. Then you upgrade again using pioneers FREE update for all those running version 3. There is however a new version update which I've not managed to get hold of yet, soon as I do I will put some update instructions up. Steve
  3. I'm assuming from that info that SD1 contains a WinCE update and SD2 contains the Flashdrive and Maps Steve
  4. The units just like a computer really. You have your operating system, in this case Windows CE and pioneers software. As standard the unit is set to load the pioneer software as default, you can if you wish use the testmode sd to bypass this default and go to the operating system. From here you can 'backup' the flashdrive folder. (flashdrive is just the name of the folder) This is the pioneer software. The most important thing is upgrading the WinCE part. This is like formatting your laptop and reinstalling windows 7. Once this is done you can play around with the pioneer software.
  5. just from memory to use a new map you need to change the launcher or the program to start it off. think thats right.. it has been a few months since I did it. Have a search on here I'm sure there's something about it. It's where I found it Steve
  6. You should make sure you have everything downloaded before starting..... 1.. Wince - This is used to update the operating system of your] headunit 2.. Testmode - This is used to access the unit so you can get to the files. 3.. Flashdisk - This holds the pioneer application which you see when you start the unit off. You need to install them in this order. Make sure you have a 2GB SD card and have the folder 'flashdisk' ready to copy over via the windows CE desktop on your unit. This is why Testmomde is used, so you can get to the desktop. hope this helps
  7. It upgrades the firmware and map in one go . Steve
  8. yep sounds about right. If it unzipped without a crc error then you should be fine. The most important bit of the process was flashing the WinCE. Once you have this operating system on then all the flashdisk bit does is load the pioneer application onto the device. So if this bit doesn't go right you can just boot up again and replace it. Steve
  9. sounds like your red / yellow might be mixed up
  10. check out pioneers website to see if theres an upgrade. If you have an EU unit then theres a 350mb upgrade. Steve
  11. If you goto pioneers website they have upgrade instructions on there which go into alittle bit more depth. I'm assuming your firmware in your settings currently say 3.0003 ? Steve
  12. hi m8.. Yes all rar's and the par's to repair them if needed. The pars should all be named different. they do go up in size for some reason.. no idea why. Steve
  13. you can obtain a FREE download from Pioneers website that will upgrade you to version 2.. Although you can just go to version 3.. just follow viewtopic.php?f=32&t=31236 If you have a EU unit. Steve
  14. Hi sorry I'm not sure what your on about.. Is your SD card slot broken or just your sd card ?
