  1. Sorry I think that I don't understand your question. Could you please restate?
  2. Hi, I think that you either put the language file and voice file in the incorrect location or not of the compatible type of file. For the former case, you have to put them under the LANG and VOICES folders of \My Flash Disk\APL2\Primo\CONTENT (and not \My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\CONTENT). For the latter case, you would have to search a bit to find the compatible files. Good lucks!
  3. PSM and ryar, I used to have the exact problem of voice guidance blowing my eardrums alway! But now, I don't have this problem anymore thanks to the use_os_volume=1 directive. Like ryar, I don't recall exactly what I have done! Something like you would have to adjust the volume of the AVIC when playing MP3 (before launching Primo, I'm talking in an iGo8 mod environment, maybe not in AVICNet ... I never use AVICNet) to match approximately the same volume level as some volume levelS (note the big S) within Primo (you have to play with the free-running knob), before launching Primo. I'm s
  4. For your sound problem, I would suggest using ryar's tip by inserting this line in your SYS.txt: [sound] use_os_volume=1 You will be able to control the volume with the knob, in a usual way.
  5. Please see attached for my copy of SYS.txt. I cannot catch all the keys of the push stick within Primo, like advancing to the next song or repeat the last one. Do you have any success? SYS.TXT
  6. Hi Ovalball, I was also having Primo 2.0 frozen on me in many occasions; I think that I solved the problem by now. Below is the scenario: I usually left AVIC autorun from iGo8 to Primo 2.0 using carver's nag message hack (i.e. after waiting for the 10 seconds timeout from my iGo8 mod v3.4a, then run to Primo without any user intervention). After Primo started up, the following could happen after I perform specific operations: If I go back to mainmenu then select A/V Source, then click on SD Card, it freezes! If I remove the SD Card then was in the slot, it could reboot on some occasion
  7. Good question! I believe that I got either the link or the entire emulator from one of the post of this forum, and then I just repackage with all necessary files (only missing map) to ease searching for other members. I'm curious as on what you want to do with the network card and the emulator, though.
  8. SkyWalker, I'm afraid that I can't of any help without spending a significant amount of time on it, since I never use the French voice on Primo. You'll definitely have better lucks if you PM Jean-Louis Motte or post you question on the "French Discussion" of this Forum, or just read it, I believe that I saw discussions over this matter a while back, when they translated my mod into French. I think that you have to change some voice files under a zip file under the VOICES folder. Lucks!
  9. Just open it with any photo editing softwre and make a crop of the upper or lower end.
  10. JLEA: Both Primo icons BMP files are located here: \My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\Extension\Primo\Button.
  11. PsychoMcSatan is right. The iGo must be loaded prio Primo's launch, your AVIC will otherwise reboot after 4 or 5 minutes because it receives no sign of life from iGo (embedded). I already tried to rename Primo.exe to iGo.exe to try to foul Pioneer must it always says "Waiting for system startup ...", then reboot after a while. Someone would have to hack the Primo.exe in the binary level ... maybe carver but he is not around! Within my mod, you can set the default navigation software to Primo, but again, iGo must be loaded (automatically) first. It will then shutdown iGo to free memory, th
  12. The sound issue is with Primo 2.0, not with my mod. I think it is still the issue (please see ryar's thread regarding AVICnet). You can only delete MFD in Test Mode, through Explorer.
  13. Hi, I dont' think that you need to reflash the WinCE as the buggy problem doesn't have anything to do with the ROM based original Windows CE. What I suggest is to delete the whole "My Flash Disk" then restore from the stock backup, completely, at this point you should have the originally delivered iGo8 RUNNING perfect (try it first), without any other modded stucks, and from here you can then follow instructions of post 1 of this thread to embedded my mod. Good luck.
  14. With the same principle, you might want to play with the color of the following two lines under ui_Title, one for foreground text color and one for background: <layer ui_Title z=35> <TEXT Title2 x=65 y=18 z=0 align="LEFT" valign="BOTTOM-6" text="" font="tahoma_abb" fontsize=30 color=#282830 w=526> <TEXT Title x=60 y=13 z=160 align="LEFT" valign="BOTTOM-6" text="" font="tahoma_abb" fontsize=30 color=#f8cc28 w=526> This can be found starting at line 24 of general_800_480.ui.
  15. Two ways: 1) What you've mentioned, drop it back to data.zip to replace the same file. 2) Save the file in the specified location without putting it back to the data.zip. The file outside the data.zip has prevalance over those inside.
  16. Thanks Ovalball! JLEA, unzip the attached file with folder structure and place it under \My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo, so template_800_480.ui will be sitting under \My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\ui_pioneer\800_480\ui. I changed the color to color=#fcfcfc in that file. Good luck. ui_pioneer.zip
  17. Hey there, for the background, you can go to "Custom Settings" and select a different SCHEME (8 in total). If you don't like them, you would have to modify all the BMP yourself (time consuming, indeed). To change the green color of the words, it is a template so you have to change only in one single place. Look at the file template_800_480.ui, at line 189: <TEMPLATE xu_txtfoot w=178 font="TAHOMA_ABB" fontsize=30 color=#00ff00 glowsize=1 color2=#000020 align="center" valign="center-7"> Change the HEXAdecimal value of color=#00ff00 (00ff00 is green). You can google HEX CO
  18. Sorry for my absence! However the cited password is the right one: "www.avic411.com" without the quotes. Try that again!
  19. There is another idea ... Delete or rename the file "\My Flash Disk\USER\UserData\SETUP\BTSettings.dat" and restart the AVIC. A new one will be created upon reboot after after you add a new BT device (phone).
  20. Ryar and Patper, I did note rear view camera not working issue after Primo 2.0 was launched, in very rare occasions. It just not responds at all when you shifted to backing up or it just flashes the AVIC screen then back to Primo. When this happens, multiple tries do not help. It also happened that the MP3 playback (never radio yet) just stop working when you shifted to backing up, and you have to change A/V source back to SD or USB in order to continue playback. Therefore there must be some sort of interference between the A/V module and Primo 2.0 not been the native GPS navigation so
  21. Thanks for the link ryar! I don't think that we can put a grab on HNR files for Canada only, but NA as a whole. I personally find that using HNR files is a waste of precious Flash and runtime memories (those files have to be opened during runtime), and it gives you so little in return. On short routes, you won't see any difference; and on long routes, I personally don't mind to wait 15 seconds instead 8 seconds for the route being calculated.
  22. Hi ryar, everything OK except not testing thing on this old device very often. Sorry about that but not away has time to play with. I don't plan to use HNR because of the 1.8 GB Flash Drive limitation. In my case it will not give me anything more. I prefer using Primo 2.0's auto alterante routing suggestions when I slow down or stop by traffic rather than introduce HNR. HNR should make a difference though, because it will give you much faster routing calculation (which I don't care because I travel on long distance only once or twice per year, and most of the times, I already know my dest
