  1. Anybody know where we can buy a screen protector for the AVIC-X920BT? Thanks.

So.... let me get this straight.. You cannot use Music Sphere in iTunes if you are a Mac user??? ...but wasn't iTunes an Apple software app? I feel unloved.
  3. Hey there, Just went through the entire manual but can't seem to find out if there is a way to switch the Bluetooth Phone Contacts to list all contacts by First Name first. Currently all my contacts are listed by last name and when I use the Voice Recognition the female voice says (ex. "Did you want to call Smith, John?") Small thing but definitely would be easier for me. Thanks in advance. D.
  4. Hey. Thanks for the reply but I am aware of these settings already. Even when I set the Map settings to "Day" the screen still dims (including all video, source selection screen) when I turn on the headlights. The "Day" setting only keeps the Nav display from showing the "Night" screen. It's weird. D.
  5. Hey there, Just noticed the other day that when I turn the car headlights on the Nav display and screen automatically dims. This is not a problem. The problem I am having is that if you have an iPod video or DVD playing the screen adjusts and becomes really dim as well. I can't seem to find any way to have the screen remain bright at all times with the headlights on. Not going to be a problem when it's completely dark outside...but when its rainy or cloudy out and you need your headlights on it's a bit frustrating. The screen becomes so dark you can't see anything? D.
  6. Hey man, I just wanted to let you know that you can have the text to speech to say street names as well. You have to go into the Navi settings, select the voice option and then select the US English (Samantha) voice that says TTS. Then it will begin to say the names of the roads. Enjoy!!! Thanks Man. I tried it and it seems to announce more street names (not all though). But did you notice that this voice is choppy and "garbbly" ...just like the VR voice? D.
  7. Ok. So once in a while when I accelerate off the line at a stop light I'll hear this *ding ding* (cutting out the music) and the message "Drive Safely!" appears. I know this is supposed to show if you accelerate too fast as a warning but I'm doing a slow acceleration like 0-40 in 5 seconds and it still shows!? Can I turn this message off? Thanks, D.
  8. Ok... This is a long shot and probably has been tried already but I noticed the same thing today with my 120GB iPod classic and running video. I only heard the audio until I pressed the "icon" on the screen right beside the Title and the screen went to full screen video. Did you try this? D.
  9. I realize that is probably my only option. However, the main issue with this is when I have 300+ favorites stored in my Nav there is no way I can quickly search for a particular contact (Example: Searching for "Chad Smith" can only be done by sorting alphabetically and then scrolling down page after page after page etc.) .... unless you know of a quicker way?? Thanks. D.
  10. Hey There, I have over 300 contacts that I need to store in my NAV favorites list. Problem. There is no "search" field in the Favorites section so the only way I can sort through my contacts to find the right address is by the "sort" field which is alphabetical etc. There is a search field for the POI but I can't store my contacts as POI's. How do I get around this. It sucks having to type in every address I want to go to manually each time. D.
  11. What?... You don't like the early 1990's female voice taken from old Apple Mac computers?? And I quote... "Wood yu liieek to cohl the mobeel number?" D.
  12. So... I have been trying to do a couple of things on the 920BT NAV with no luck. I need to store about 300 address contacts (I believe this unit holds up to 400) as I travel quite a bit. I can't seem to "search" through these contacts under the "Favorites" section where they are stored. Instead, this AVIC only seems to give you sorting options which don't help and make you hit the page down button over and over and over.... I also can't seem to save my own POI's.... oh wait.... is that a AVIC FEEDS issue??? Because I know there is a "SPELL NAME" button under the POI section which
  13. Hey, So I went out and tested this for you today. I used a 4 GB Micro SD card and loaded it with about 100 songs (Dragged and dropped directly from iTunes) just to test. After the usual screen start up I just went to the AV source and picked "SD" and it showed my song list and started play back right away. If I had the AV source set to SD before shutting off the car, the next time I started the car the songs started playback immediately...during the start up screen. It's a really cool feature! D.
  14. Well... I found this Pioneer remote CD-SR1. I don't know if it will work with the AVIC-X920BT AND I'm not a big fan of attaching a round remote to the wheel with straps but it is an option if it will work and also keep my factory controls. I wonder how that is connected to the PAC-SWI-PS??
  15. Hey VBLUE, I spent a long time looking for the posts related to the steering wheel buttons I was referring to. Maybe I should have been a little more clear. My question was... is there a way to add "third party" buttons to your steering wheel that will work in conjunction with your factory steering wheel controls? I understand that you can program the "PAC-SWI-PS" to change your existing steering wheel buttons to control VR, call pick up and call hang up but I can only give up 1 of the factory buttons (I have vol up/down, track up/down, mute and mode)...mode is the only one I can swi
