  1. Welcome to the club. This is nothing new with their sorry ass level of support, or lack there of. I really wish I knew who is in charge of their tech support department so I could lodge a formal complaint. Honest some of their support staff need to be fired. Especially this one jack ass I have had the displeasure of always getting the few times I have called them. I would really like to know who he is. Try filing on the Better Business Bureau.
  2. Appreciate all the feedback on this and hands off to those of you with the patience. Honestly I wasn't that upset when I ran into the problem until I spoke to the Pioneer rep on the phone. Its their attitude that got me so upset. At first they said just keep unplugging etc... then they said you need to pull over to do it...   4. Just got off the phone with Pioneer. They acknowledged there is a problem with this once you update your phone to the new OS. My reason to buy the update was for this app and how can they tell me to drive and use the app from the phone while its illegal to be driving and fooling around with your phone. Rep told me to just pull over... Anyway, to get a refund on this junk, they need you to send in the Nav all at your cost, then 4 weeks turn around time.   5. Just ordered mine from Car Toys for $949.99. Tracking shows I'll get the unit this Friday. I'll get it running over the weekend. Worth every penny for me considering the service quality I got from my local Al-Eds was horrible. I shouldn't say more than that.

  8. OK. So I called a store in Santa Monica area and the salesperson said they can honor the discount, but he said the rebate will be void due to the discount. Meanwhile, the store in Torrance said for $999.99 the rebate will be good. I was confused, so I called Pioneer's rebate department. At first the operator says the requirement is only Brand new "A" stock and from an authorized dealer. Just before we hung up he said he found a clause in that it cannot be combined with any other discounts. I would have thought that meant Pioneer discount, not store level discount.   9. Hi Guys... Has anyone received their units and reviewed the receipts? I live in Los Angeles area and here is what I found out when I tried to order: 1. Being in the same state, Al-Eds site says they cannot ship to my location and that I have to go to visit a local store. 2. I went to the store and they can honor the pio515 discount, but the manager says that they will have to sell the unit without warranty and also it will not qualify for the $200 rebate. Instead he offered to sell it to me for $999.99 which then would come with factory warranty and qualifies for the rebate. Any
