  1. The H/U has the option to manually activate the camera input, but if the camera is powered by the reverse lights, it doesn't work. I did not want to have the camera always powered up when the car is on, but installing a switch to power the camera means that I have to turn it on when I shift into reverse, reducing the simplified convenience of having it automatically turn on. I found my solution. 1. Cut the camera input trigger wire coming from the reverse light wire that runs from the kick panel. 2. Run the power wire for the camera to the front of the car. 3.   3. you're lucky main doesn't have power at all ... I took the unit out turned the key power is running to car so I can the digital odometer, but the radio still ain't on. I think mines just fried
  4. mine was doing it everytime I remote started if I'd cranked the car up naturally I wouldn't have any problems
  5. Oh sorry I forgot to introduce myself... I'm JayMax03 I'm a newbie when it comes to navigation units and I barley use the navigation part of it anyway. I saw this forum a lot but never really signed up for it since I never owned a nav unit before til 2008 when I purchased this one.
  6. I don't know what happened the unit just completely went south and it was working fine up until Monday with no warning. I pulled it out today exchanged all the fuses and tested the 12v ign lead (14.43 switched on), 12v bat lead (12.21 without turning the key) , and the ground lead. I checked the fuse in the back of the unit and the one from the fuse box under the steering wheel. I have it installed in a 04 Mustang and its been repaired once already. I'm thing about selling it if it has to get repaired again. NO ONE shouldn't have to go through with this kind and this is getting old anyway. I b
