  1. So you're saying not having the reverse signal is why my Navigation is always off a bit, and why it hasn't made any progress on 3D calibration? I thought the wire was only for the reverse camera. I haven't installed one yet, so I never connected the wire.
  2. If Sony can remove 30% of the features from the PS3 it originally released with, I'm sure there's no legal requirement to maintain features it was sold with. Very upsetting, but it happens.

    Mute Help

I want to connect the mute wire for my z120BT so that the radio acts like the factory radio did with my factory reverse sensors. The volume on the factory radio would drop so you could hear the sensor beeping at you. Does anyone know which pin I should connect the mute wire to for a 2005 Lincoln Navigator? (Factory system was THX in-dash 6 disc navigation with rear seat entertainment)
  4. Discovered my problem was a combination of the settings on the radio (boosting output) and a setup issue apparently the pros didn't even know about with my components.
  5. I thought of that too... unfortunately the name iRadio is taken. I thought to myself if I had the money to make this happen, I'd probably try to have a version of both. an Android based version and an iOS based version. The problem is, Apple doesn't license its software, and I don't see them getting into an area where they wont be able to sell mass amounts of apps.
  6. Google Maps & Navigation, your assistance is required at Pioneer...
  7. I've thought about it. But since my new car needs a radio in it as well, I'm trying to decide what I will get next. The 120 will likely go in the other car, since my wife drives it mostly. My truck will get whatever new unit I buy.
  8. I recently installed an amplifier in my truck. (Alpine PDX-5) I had the gains turned all the way down because I would eventually like to find someone with an O-scope to set it how I want. Even with everything set to the minimum, I turned up the volume on a CD I was listening to and it started distorting. I have no experience with radios that do this. My last radio was a Kenwood Excelon, and with it set to Maximum volume, it didn't go into clipping. Max volume on it was 0dB, or full output. I'm assuming the Pioneer goes beyond 0dB at some point, otherwise it wouldn't distort. I've searched the
  9. That's funny... but 99% of the time, I don't have a passenger next to me anyway. Just the kids in their car seats in the back. But my z120bt has voice input for addresses, so I'll continue to use it. I haven't decided if I will upgrade to the 140 yet. I would love to have HD radio.
  10. I wont go as far as to have a tablet in my dash. But I don't think I'm asking too much to have a head unit with what should be standard features in these days. The ability to load up to a 32GB memory device on each USB / SD port, virtually unlimited folders and files, the ability to scroll through a list using a scroll bar and letters, and the ability for Bluetooth to take full advantage of what bluetooth can do now. My $60 bluetooth headphones shouldn't be more feature filled than my $1200 radio. But they do seem to be very complacent where they are now. I wish I could produce my idea, be
  11. I know, I bought my dad one from his father's day present last year. However, if I'm going to be spending money, I want all those other iOS dependent features my radio offers I can't use. Like Pandora Interface & Music Sphere. Yes, the new Clarion will run an Android OS. It's an idea I said should have been done nearly two years ago.. If I was rich, I'd have one on the market already... I believe in the possibilities that much. Honestly, I dont believe Clarion pushes the envelope enough with it, but hopefully the first wont be the last. My idea was to have a built in GSM 4G radio
  12. lol.. and that's why I use Android and not iPhone... I was once an iOS owner... But it looks like to get what I really want from my radio I need to purchase (unnecessary expense imo) an iPod Touch. Might as well get the 64GB if I'm going to do it though. I have over 100GB of songs in my collection, but if I have to narrow it down, better 64GB than 16 or 32... waaay better than the 2500 song limit. It's not that I want to have enough songs to go days without repeating... it's that I want to be able to pull up any song that comes to mind that I want to hear there on the spot. At the moment I
  13. Not at all. They're both computers. They may be in different packages, but a computer is a computer. They may have different software compatibilities, but in the end a computer is a computer. In fact, its likely an Android smartphone could run the entire system of one of these units, and do it better. Clarion has at least realized this, but I have the feeling they will limit the system too much to fully take advantage of its possibilities.
  14. My radio doesn't allow me to type in addresses unless the parking brake is set. When I'm out on the road, the only way I have to enter an address is using speech. (Yes, I'm one of the few without the bypass)
  15. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm sure there's a valid reason. All I'm saying is my phone which cost many times less, does not have the same unlimited power for processing, and has an exponentially smaller frame in which to do its work, does not have the same limitations.
