if your just testing it for now you can tie the red and yellow together to see if it powers up

you can either run the accessory wire as stated above or get the xsvi 5520 harness that supplies the accessory and illumination for you

thats funny, i read it in three different threads, GENIUS! and the correct one was the vehicle specific wiring section. btw, you can also get that green/orange wire at the cluster in the brown plug

im pretty sure ive used that negative trigger for reverse sensors without any problems, so it should be fine for the d3

Speed Sense dk. green/white 4K instrument cluster, pin A4 or PCM The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is in the left front of the engine compartment to the left of the fan shroud. The VSS wire is in the green plug, pin 50. Also found at the radio harness, on some models.

any navi is going to give you some oddball routes. none of them are perfect, but they do get you where your going, eventually -

Instrument cluster harness on 2004 silverado

pull the front dash trim from around the cluster and radio area. remove four 7mm bolts holding in cluster. lift out cluster without unplugging it. harness is on the back with plenty of slack to access it -
your gonna rewire all the power and speaker wires. just match the colors like before. you can use your old antenna, just gonna have to route it up to the head unit. its no big deal
