  1. Download the JETware Mobile software here. That should fix your problem.
  2. Service Provider: Cingular (AT&T) Phone-SW Version: iPhone 8Gb Version 1.0 Autoconnect: Yes Basic Function: (Make & Recieve a call) Yes. Phone Book Transfer: No. Voice Calling: No Signal & Battery Strength Indicator: Yes / Yes BT Audio Capable?: No
  3. The free kit included with my D3 from Crutchfield worked great in my '06 F-150 and looks smooth.

  5. Don't know about watching DVD whlie driving on the Z2, but the GPS satellite antenna works just fine underneath my dash. ('06 F-150.) I have an Avic D3. XM antenna must be located outside the cab because the reception isn't good enough under the dash.
  6. Alternatively, you can view the camera anytime by pressing the "Map" button, then "Map" again. From there, select the Rear Camera option to view the camera while you are driving down the road...
  7. If I recall correctly, there is an option within the JET software to send the whole phonebook as a single "push".
  8. Service Provider: Cingular Phone-SW : Palm Treo750 Auto conect: Yes Basic Function: (Make & Recieve a call tested. Call logs work.) Phone Book Transfer: Yes. Can push entire phone book. Voice Calling: Yes. Signal & Battery Strength Indicator: yes / yes BT Audio Capable?: Yes CAVEAT: The Treo does not connect with the CD-BTB200 out of the box. You must download the software from: http://www.jetwaremobile.com and enable all the bluetooth features. If this works for you, the software costs ~$15. Money well spent to enable all the bluetooth features of WM5. EDIT: Voice
  9. Mr. Ceddy: That worked perfectly. I installed the JETware Mobile software, and suddenly my Palm Treo worked. I was able to use the bluetooth headset funtions easily, I transferred all my contacts over in just one "push", and the D3 now even shows my phone's battery life/cellular strength meter. Thanks SO much for the suggestion! I knew there had to be a fix! For all you out there with Windows Mobile 5 phones, try downloading that JETware software. I'll be paying my $15 to them in about five minutes...
  10. Make sure you have read the manual. If you transfer address items via bluetooth, the headset feature will disconnect. You'll have to hit the 'Menu' button, then 'Phonebook Transfer' from the 'Functions' option. That worked fine for me. After transferring all the phonebook entries, you'll have to reconnect the bluetooth to make calls.
  11. As an update, I have an older Windows Smartphone (Audiovox SMT5600). This phone connects via bluetooth just fine. Phonebook transfer--one by one--works OK. This phone runs the Smartphone OS and not the Windows Mobile 5 OS, so it doesn't help for the Palm devices. I still cannot get my Palm Treo 750 to connect, but maybe Pioneer will release a fix soon.
  12. Not according to the Pioneer rep, but folks here may have had a different experience. All I know is my Windows Mobile 5 device gives an error when trying to connect has a handsfree device. The bluetooth audio part connects just fine. There is a difference. I could live without the bluetooth audio, but I bought the BTB200 for the handsfree function...
  13. JUnverrich: As of this time, there is not a fix for Windows Mobile devices. I called Pioneer yesterday, and they say their engineers are working on a fix. The customer service rep said he didn't know how long it would take to release a fix for Treos and other smartphones.
  14. I had a problem with my battery dying the other day. However, I had been installing the rearview camera, and the radio was playing without the engine running for a few hours. My guess is that the D3 drains the battery faster than the stock radio does. Your alternator may not be charging the battery, though, so check that out, too.
  15. My D3 went in VERY easily and mounted flush with the "freebie" kit from Crutchfield. I have an '06 F-150, so the dash should be the same as yours. Do you have a picture of the problem you're having?
  16. Are you using the BTB200? Has anyone connected with a Palm Treo and the BTB200? Yes, I am using the BTB200 and trying to connect it with a Palm Treo 750 from Cingular. There are a couple of other topics that are discussing this: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5623 and http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5753.
  17. I have an F-150. The bluetooth and XM modules both fit behind the air conditioner controls in the dash--right under the radio.
  18. I just talked to a Pioneer customer service rep., and he says that Pioneer is working on a "fix" for the Smartphone/PDA interoperability with the CD-BTB200. He wasn't sure how long a fix might take, but his comment was: "Our engineers are aware that this is a problem with Palm and Blackberry devices. We're trying to get a firmware update that should address the fact that those phones don't sync up with our product that well." Here's hoping the engineers are reading this thread and are working hard for a fix...
  19. I love my phone, and I'd hate to have to change phones. I'm not going to send the Bluetooth module back to Crutchfield because my wife's Nokia phone works perfectly with it. For me, I'm hoping Windows Mobile 6 might help the situation. chazmink: Did you ever get your phone to automatically connect?
  20. Thanks for finding that compatibility guide. It doesn't help me much for my Palm, but the Rokr IS listed as compatible.
  21. The issue still stands: my new Windows Mobile cell phone won't connect to the D3.
  22. Duh! Sorry. I'm so used to saying Panasonic because of my home television. Let me restate it: Come on, Pioneer! Get your act together! (Now that I've got my act together...)
  23. I can't get my Cingular Treo 750 to connect as a BT phone to the BTB-200, although the BT audio connects just fine. Come on, Panasonic! Windows Mobile 5 can't be that out of spec that you can't connect your NEW bluetooth module to it...
  24. Kind of frustrated... Just installed the BTB-200 and I can't get my Palm Treo 750 to connect as a BT phone. (For some reason, it connects as a bluetooth audio player just fine.) Has anyone had any luck at all connecting a Treo (Windows Mobile 5) to the new bluetooth unit?

    MacMini & D3

Plus the fact that you wouldn't be able to use the D-3 screen as a touchscreen interface for your computer. If you're bent on installing a carputer, I wouldn't waste my cash on a D-3.
