  1. I picked up an extra 80g ipod 5th Gen as soon as I heard the reports about the Classics & D3. Found it new at Guitar Center's online store of all places for $229.00 with free shipping. Not as cheap as a refurb though. **edit: Looks like they're still stocking them... http://www.guitarcenter.com/Apple-iPod- ... 1169379.gc
  2. Man how funny I Log on tonite to see if there's any posts about the Samsung A900. Same problems here. I actually spent hours trying to transfer contacts. I could not find a pattern as to when it did and when it didn't. Really horrible!!! When it works it's instantaneous. At least I only need to transfer one more.... I wonder what the phone of choice is with the Pioneer guys.
  3. My Sirius att is magnetic, so it's sitting right on top of the d3 itself dead center, with great GPS signal. One less visable piece on my stang's dash. Very Nice Stang BTW!
  4. If your willing the try it, I have had great success with mounting the gps ant on top the d3 in the dash. I have not had any problems concering signal ect. Of course others results may vary, but it's worth it if it works as it's another thing that can be made to dissapear if you know what I mean. The xm/sirius sat is another story though, it like to see the sky. Good luck,
  5. Sounds like a good idea as you continue to troubleshoot. Of course you would hate to think that your d3 may be defective, but hopefully not. Let us know what happens. best of luck,
  6. Yeah, Clean comes to mind! Really kick azz. What's that space above the D3? looks like you have room for more toys. Any plans to utilize that space other than storing stuff in there. Thanks for post......nice Enjoy,
  7. That's true I dig that it will store my AO. Ha ha, still how many guys here plot a route to Taco Bell, Starbucks, ect. Fun stuff.

    MacMini & D3

Anyone have pics of the MacMini Desktop on the D3 display? I have a friend who putting one in his Titan with a 7" lcd. I'm wonding if it would look too small on the D3. Also after recently he saw how clean my D3 looks installed, it got him thinking of diching his single din alpine reciever for the ddin D3 which would give him two lcd's.
  10. That's what I'm talkin bout.... So you have it connected to the AV1/2 I'm assumimg? I'll have to try this, hope I have room in the glove box. I really wish the PSP could output A/V.
  11. whtcrxhst, did you get the btb 200 installed yet? How is working for you?
  12. +1 The D3 only has one CD/DVD slot!!! I've so busy enjoying my D3 that I haven't noticed. Hmmm. If it had a 10 disc changer I'd still disappointed. My last system had a 6 disc, and I hated always opening the hatch, pulling the disc mag trying to choose only 6 disc's..... man those days are over me. They were cool 10 years ago. Don't miss the point ......Pioneer has delivered with the D3. This has been the perfect time for me to retire my all CD's back to there jewel cases and go with the whole 80g/5thGen/ipod/Apple Lossless thing. It's all about the incredible access to my music.
  13. Mine is mounted on the top of the D3 headunit inside the dash. I'm getting great signal and it's one more thing I didn't have to stick on my dash/roof/rear/deck lid. I'm really glad it woked out.
  14. +1 on the TSD series http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... 96,00.html I put the 6x9's in the doors. Definately an upgrade from the stock system at a decent price imho.
  15. Just curious what version of software is your A900. I have one and I'm waiting on the btb200. Thanks
  16. So about a year off. My area just must have missed the revision being built finished in March 06. Thanks Dan for the clearificaiton.
  17. That not too bad. I think what I was trying to say was that I'm only about 200 yards off road from where the database stops. My area being newer the database map just show me to be off of the main road. Not too much of problem as I know where I live. ha ha Hopefully I can get a hold of the new maps before my D3 is obsolete. LOL
  18. I'm not really worried about the D3 screen much as I'm generally careful with my stuff. I figure its made to be touched, has a matte finish which hides prints, its not going to get thrown around since its an installed piece, and don't eat in my car with the exception drinking of coffee. I just a take some special care when cleaning it. Always use a damp high quality microfiber cloth. Spray/mist the towel and gentley wipe the screen to pick up the dust and lint. Turn the towel to a fresh side and wipe off the excess. That's it. For tougher grease prints repeat with a fresh side of the
  19. Hmm, at least I'm only about 200 yards off. I still can't register a "Home" location. It still calculates to destinations and all, but it would be nice to use the "2007 D3" with a "2007 database instead of an over 2 year old one. It seems a bit strange to not have the database year not match the hardware year releases. I still having fun with it.
  20. D3 manual - Page 15 So it seems they update the database every three plus years?
  21. The D3 version 1.0 maps are from Jan 2005. My home area is not listed being a newer area, I'm off the map, ha ha. Also I'm finding a lot local Points of Interests are not listed either which is understandable. Any word on when the new Maps discs are going to be released? Thanks
