  1. I'm wondering if something is wrong with my 940bt. When i start up the car it will try to play an mp3 from the microSD card and it does the "media that cannot be played will be skipped". Oddly enough, it does this randomly without any noticable pattern. Sometimes, i can set the unit to Off and pull the seciurity buttons off (shutting off the unit) and plugging it back in and it will work. Then other times, when i start up the car it plays mp3's fine. I went through and checked to make sure there wasn't any text files (or any non mp3 files) in the music folders, thinking that maybe its
  2. Thanks! I just tested it out and it does infact work with the bypass (relocating mute wire) Tricky thing was, was that if you just hit the "eq" button on the AV screen, the Auto Eq function is grayed out. If you go (with the mic plugged in and the source set to Off): Home, Settings, AV Settings, Auto Eq, and hit start....it works like a champ!
  3. The microphone should be here today, i'll update whether or not it works with the bypass
  4. I just installed a 940bt and relocated the mute wire and grounded it and the parking wire. As of right now the auto eq button is greyed out. I ordered the pioneer autoeq microphone and wanted to know if theres going to be any issues using it while bypasses.
  5. the 220 is nice. you can still listen to music while in Nav mode. my phone gps sucks and takes a long time to connect, so its nice to push a button and have a map. Some cons are that you cant enter in a destination if your driving more then 10mph. its controlled by an accelerometer, so there's no way to bypass.
  6. What are your volume levels like on the phone and on the 3300bt? Sounds like you might have one of them cranked up too high and your getting distortion. I've found that bluetooth has more background hissing than i'd like. If that doesn't help, check your connections.
  7. Go onto the pioneer website under the support section, and they'll show you where the Certified repair shops are. Take it to them and see how much it would be to fix. Sound quality is decent, but not the best through bluetooth.
  8. Definitely need to do something with the parking brake wire. Some people just grounded it, others did the relay method (that what i did). I'd do the relay method if i were you.
  9. Never mind, I figured it out. I forgot that i had the phone's volume on really low, so i turned it up on the phone and works like a charm!
  10. I just got a samsung galaxy 2s from sprint and im trying to be able play pandora and music through the Bluetooth. I've connected my phone to the Bluetooth for talking through the stereo, but when i hit the button to switch modes to music mode (on the 3200dvd), it says something along the lines of "no music". Anyone have a fix?
  11. There is an eq background. Go to the settings and under background its all the way at the end. You cant use album artwork and the eq at the same time
  12. On the divx converter you have to use the "home theater" setting.
  13. Dont have the hd radio, but was thinking about it.
  14. yep. i have a 16gb sd, that i keep a bunch of movies on. You have to convert the movies using divx converter in order to view them on the head unit
  15. Does it do it for all stations or just a couple. You can get the hd-radio adapter, and it'll show all info.
  16. Get a decent voltmeter! Double check to make sure that your getting 0v when the key is in the off position, and 12v when the it on the acc or on position. Either your not getting enough voltage through the ignition (yellow) wire to tell the unit to turn on or you have a faulty unit.
  17. heres the link to the best solution so far. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/28725-parking-brake-bypass-wavic-u220/ its a module that delays the power to the u220 so when the unit powers up it doesn't think that u220 is on.
  18. nope, you cant stream music on the 3200bt. you can if you had the 3200dvd or 4200dvd with the add on bluetooth module. thats what i have and it work for an ipod nicely, but i haven't tried pandora because i dont have a data plan on my phone.
  19. So I just run the camera power from the back of the head unit to the camera. How does the headunit know when to switch on the camera?
  20. So just to clarify (im going to be installing a backup camera this weekend). So i have to run the line from the reverse taillight and connect that to the reverse line from the back of the stereo? Then connect the power of the camera to the same reverse light line?
  21. How long ago did you get it? If its new, just call pioneer. I had a problem with my 3200dvd and pioneer gave me a list of local shops that could do the warranty repair. If it only does it when playing a dvd then its definitely something with the optical drive. Try playing a video through the usb. see if it still flickers.
  22. never-mind, i sent a message to pioneer, and (surprisingly) they got back to me the same day. Maybe they're turning over a new leaf (hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhaha).
  23. I've been trying to get the information from pioneer to be able to update the POI's on my U220 and its not working (tried twice). Im not sure how large the file size is, or if its linked to the unit, but would someone be willing to email (hopefully there not too large) me a copy of the poi files they downloaded from pioneer?
  24. Im using a 16gb SD card without any problems. I've heard that there are some problems with the 32gb cards, but haven't tried it myself
  25. what a friend of mine did, was he took the stock stereo, pulled (gently) front face plate off, glued the buttons on and made it fit over his new stereo. If done well, it looks like he still has the stock POS.
