  1. My bad.... its the cd sr1 remote (which is wired) that I meant to ask about. Will that work with a 900bt/700bt?
  2. Forgive me if this has been covered already... I couldn't find an answer. Will the pioneer cd-sr11 remote work with the avic f900bt? I'd assume it plugs directly into the back in the remote control jack. My rotary knob is a bit touchy and I'd like to use this steering wheel remote. Thanks
  3. Old post... does anyone know? My rotary knob on my 900bt is touchy. I wanted to do this, too.
  4. I have purchased 2 avics in the past couple weeks. A f700bt and a f900bt. One had a severed usb cable. The other was in really good shape. I spliced and reinforced the usb cable on the severed one. I noticed that the cable had been pulled free of the plug on the circuit board. Easy fix, just some dismantling plug back in and reassemble. I wasn't surprised by this on the severed usb cable unit. The really nice 900bt wouldn't recognize anything usb related. Since I had the previous experience with the unplugged usb on the 700bt, I looked inside. Sure thing! Plugged it back in and works like a ch
  5. You and me both. I have the same problem. I have learned all about ts and trs plugs. TS = Tip Sleeve (mono) TRS = Tip Ring Sleeve (stereo). The mic jack on the avic for the bluetooth mic is mono 2.5mm. There are 6 contacts on the circuit board.... Why? There should be 4 in my opinion. 2 for tip and 2 for sleeve. (one on each side of the jack) I would greatly appreciate it if someone could breathe some life into this topic. I'm going to try to do some soldering.... I just hope that I assume correctly when I assume that there are 4 contacts for the tip area and the sleeve is 2.... Help!!
  6. Wish I had read that before the trip to Radio Shack... Thanks for the post! From what I've gathered, any mic will work. Some mics will work better (sound quality) than others. As one person said, a mic is a mic.
  7. Ok, great! It looks like its a 3.5mm mono plug? Is that correct?
  8. What mics will work with the 700bt? Is there something special about the Pioneer mic? Can a mic for the 500 work? Can another brand hands-free mic suffice?
