  1. I know this is going to sound greedy... Has anyone managed to get TMC working in Primo 1.0? I've got it working in 1.2 and 2.0 but I'd really like to have it in 1.0 as well as that one comes with audio enabled automatically. Alternatively, are there any signs of 1.2 or 2.0 getting audio to work automatically (ie without playing an audio file from the scdard before launching).
  2. In one word, yes. Those functions are still available under the main menu and BT connects and works as per normal. The only thing that doesn't show is the AV icon in the bottom of the map screen.
  3. Hope I'm not being a numpty by asking, but with Primo 2 the POI seem to be a bit scrambled. I can't get speed cameras to appear (which isn't a POI I know but still...), some don't appear, others appear but are not designated as what they are, ie I get a Bar for a Parking? This isn't consistently so, but is there an issue, or have I missed something?
  4. Got to completely disagree with the sentiments expressed here. Ryar's work with Primo and then Avicnet are the only developments keeping this subforum alive. They also happen to be by far the most professional looking mods dragging our units somewhere up-to-date in terms of graphics, UI and general usability. The old Pioneer interface and map display is verging on embarrassingly dated if you have anything approaching a modern car. Unfortunately most mods just add layers of visual and functional confusion.
  5. The Diafta mod has testmode in it. When you launch with diafta's mod on a sd card it takes you to a screen with a number of options (if the unit is US, EU, etc...) but at the bottom is a button that says CANCEL. If you press that you drop out into WinCE desktop.
  6. Could you explain how to use patper's primo 1.2? ? ie how to integrate it into avicnet?
  7. I wonder if it is because I am running Primo 1.0 and Primo 1.2 (the w/o) option? I created the tmc folder in both Primo and Primo2 folders.
  8. Ok cool. I will load avicnet tomorrow. Thanks again ryar for all your efforts and patience... EDIT I flashed the w/o gyro file and all seems to have worked fine. WinCE properties still lists it as WinCE5, but I guess this is normal as it isn't actually a flash to 6 but bits of 6 right? I then loaded avicnet and it all works. Though iGo does look different from stock pre avicnet... for example I now have the a button for the the colour profile permanently on? I know I was using diafta's mod before, but stock iGo didn't have that. Anyway, it works. Primo and Primo2 both ap
  9. Well, I'm pretty much 100% sure that last time that i Installed avicnet my iG08 went down from version 4.xxx to 2.xxx. Obviously i lost diafta's mod but more than that the UI was not the same as before I put his mod on. Checking in the Settings menu for the version it said I was on version 2 of the software, which is not as user friendly as the later version. Am I confused? It is a distinct possibility but I don't think so.
  10. Right. I actually meant igo rather than primo. I'm on version 4 apparently, I remember last time I installed avicnet igo appeared to downgrade to v2?
  11. My only worry in all of this is that iGO is downgrading to v2, is this right? Do I need to extract the files in the WinCE6 img? Or do I leave them in the .rar?
  12. Am I right in thinking you did this on Euro units? Ryar says: Is this what you did?
  13. Hi Ryar, could you lay out the steps you used to do the above? I guess they are the ones in the Italian post, but I am v nervous about bricking the unit and there are some instructions that are a bit ambiguous to a nervous user. Thanks.
  14. One question though. Is it still possible to upgrade iGO withouat affecting AvicNet utilities (and Primo)? I have CNSD200 upgrade which upgrades the maps and tweks the std ui somewhat. As a further question, is it then possible to instal iGO mods like Diafta'sin avicnet?
  15. Hi, not 100% but I am pretty sure that it won't work as you have to use the actual unit's product ID (serial number) to generate a key to unlock the the installation. Seems to me that Ioneer will cross reference the ID's input to their system to generate the key and won't unlock the same software to 2 different units. Hope I'm wrong
  16. I don't think this is the issue Ryar is talking about. Specifically, the issue highlighted happens to units that can find the GPS but can not translate that into a position on the map. I have only had the 'detecting GPS' if there was something wrong with the port setting. Ryar, unfortunately i'm away for the next few Weeks so can't test your work around. Is there anything on the Italian forum about this issue?
  17. I installed CNSD200 and have version 4.x and testmode works fine. Mods work fine too. I have the no-nag mod, I used Diafta's mod and both Primo mods (though they haven't worked out too well, but idon't think it has anything to do with CNSD)
  18. Decided to take a breather for a bit on this. With the problems I was having with Primo I was relying on iGO and the interface was annoying me so I deleted everythiing and re-installed my very first back-up of the stock Pioneer iGO that I had made before installing any mods way back when. Using AVICnet had taken the version down to 3? The stock one had an upgrade to 4xxx1. Teh only mod on there right now is removing the nag screen. BTW, I can still run Primo off a SD card. If I boot into testmode and launch it from a folder on the card it works. No sound obviously but hey. I have
  19. Thanks Ryar, I will do as you say. I had noticed that it seemed to be something to do with how Primo stops working, but I haven't been using the GJ maps and so didn't have the exit icon. must've missed that at the start. Unfortunately removing the Save folder is not a 100% guarantee that it will work the next time. It works sometimes, sometimes not. What I have found by trial and error to work is replacing all the files that are in My flash disk which are not in folders. These: So far copy the ones from the download over the ones on the unit works, though it isn't really a viabl
  20. I will check, I'm pretty sure it is working though. Another question. Rather than a USB modem is it possible to use a USB wifi stick? I was thinking of tethering to my Android phone.
  21. Good to know that I'm not mad. As an update. I couldn't get Primo to find my map in primo>content>maps (UK and basemap) so I returned the sys.txt to the original. The maps were found, I got a "your maps appear to be out of date" message and then the system located me immediately at my true location! I didn't delete the save folder.
  22. I'll double check but i'm pretty sure commented out only the Primo sys.txt, removing all mention of where the maps might be. I then copied the UK map, buildings, poi and base map from igo to primo. I then deleted the save folder on the user folder. I went through a reset defaults in primo. It returned an error about not finding the maps but allowed me to continue whereupon it put net to Big Ben. Nit Paris anymore. Tomorrow I'll launch it in test mode and see what happens. Maybe pioneer released various different models incompatible with this hack? A far as I know it is a bog standard F900B
