Well I found a 20 dollar off coupon and called CF and they applied it even though my order has already shippd Thats why I love CF such great customer service. So now the N4 was only 879.99 shipped.

Just got it for 899 shipped from crutchfield. It was hiding in the outlet section. Does this mean the n5 is on its way??

Hey all, I am thinking to get an N4 but had some questions about the ipod connection. I previously had the D3 and it had issues with track freezing and no video playback on the newer ipods. Does the N4 still have those problems? I would like to use my ipod classic to do both video and movies but the D3 sucked for that. Thanks in advance

Yah that might be true but ill pulled several of them out so I dont remember the order they go in the harness so pics or pinouts would still be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, I was dumb when I installe my d3 in that I removed the sub woofer cables, rear video, and some others. Now I want to use the d3 with a sub but cant remember where the heck the wires go. Does someone have the pinout or a picture of the harness and maybe I can just eyeball it. Thanks a million in advance

saw a new firmware is out for ipod nanos and classics which fixes the tv out issue. I have since returned my classic and got a 5.5gen. Can anyone test this out and see if it works? Thanks

Alas it finally locked up on one track. My friend was busy pressing buttons so I dont know exactly what he did but when I looked at the track info it had froozen. By the time the next track came though it fixed itself. On a different topic, when I have the ipod classic hooked to headphones and turn the sound all the way to off I still can hear sound. Is this normal? I figured turning the sound all the way down would, *GASP*, actually turn the sound off. Maybe its an Apple thing...

I went into video, back to music, podcast then back to music. And tried playing on shuffle for about 1 hour and it never locked up. Hopefully this is the workaround we've been looking for

Found an option in itunes which seemed to help. Under the music setting when you click on ipod is the option to turn off album art. I tested the d3 with it last night and no track freezing. Will report back in a few days what happens.

You can always call apple and tell them you want the 80 gig and they will recall the pkg. I did Wish I could have gotten 80 gig black though

Update" Now the ipod classic is randomly freezing tracks. WHat a pain in the ass I really like the classic but with no video out and the track freezing I will probably just go with the gen 5.5 afterall. Thank goodness for costco's return policy No charge for open box ipod returns.

Update: I was running with coverflow on and the track listing locked up on the d3. Pulled over, turned coverflow off and now no problems. So for people having issues go into settings - > music menu. Then uncheck coverflow.

Dunno what to tell you but it works fine for me. I tried with coverflow on and off and still works great. Hope you get it sorted out.

Drove my car for 2 hours today running errands and the track always updated. Brand new ipod classic 80 gig black with the 1.0.1 firmware update. Guess its fixed now I am going to get the new universal dock with video out and just hook it to the rca's on the d3 and use the ipod jack right into the universal dock so I can have ipod and video.

Called pioneer this morning to get information about the issue with the classics not updating the track information. The support rep as soon as I mentioned the classic's told me their are working on a solution for the track info not updating and hope to have something out within a week. So they seem to know about it and are working on it. I will call pioneer in a week and see what they have to say
