  1. Wow, that was the most stressful update ever! In the middle of the SD1 update I ran into "Incorrect SD card" error many times. I tried reinserting the card but after going up another 1% the error would show again. I did find a solution however. I think the problem was my super huge (32GB) and speedy (Class 10) SanDisk SD card. the head unit couldn't handle all of that speed. =) Without ever turning off the car or radio, I went back inside and found an older 4GB SanDisk SD card. After transferring the necessary SD1 files over, the update finished no problem. Also using the same card I up
  2. And after I made my post I checked my Z120BT software version and it read 02.000 Thanks RonS for clearing that up. One more question: Is the patch for 2.004 a cracked software? Which one of the files is actually cracked intended to bypass pioneer security?
  3. People, I'm really trying to decipher all of the information in this thread. I believe there's a lot of confusion here because there are Z110 owners who need to update to 120 software first. I have a Z120BT and I want to upgrade it to 130 software and the latest maps. Here's what I understand: In order to upgrade Z120 software to version 130 I may need the following: 1) AVICZ110.zip (contains 2.003 firmware update) from the link http://ds1.downloadt...IC/AVICZ110.zip 2) AVICZ110BT-2.004.zip (contains 2.004 firmware update) from the link http://avic411.com/i...attach_id=14748 I'm
  4. Ok, so it's normal for the head unit to function this way. Yeah annoying but I listen to music mostly anyways. LOL, nice with the Transformers 2. If you think about it, watching movies like Transformers or Fast5 could really be a hazard even if you're not watching the video. I've mistaken the car sounds in the movies thinking someone driving next to me was doing something crazy. Thanks again Ron. I see that you are a big contributor here in the AVIC forums.
  5. Good to know. Thanks! I just turned the feature off. Even if I wanted to use the data, they don't have a Mac version of the AVIC Feeds program.
  6. Hey Guys, Just got back in SoCal on Saturday. Here's a vid of the problem with my Z120BT. Let me know what you think. Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TffC3IT0bqc
  7. Yeah, a totally blank screen. Only happens when the last played content is video (movie, music videos). If I was playing podcasts or music last, I start the car and everything continues playing... No, I don't have steering-wheel control hooked up. I could post a video later of my issue next week.
  8. iPod Classic 160GB. I just get a black screen when I start the car. To continue playing any media I have to press the screen once and select music or videos.
  9. I have my Z120BT hacked (bypassed) so that it can play videos while the car is in motion. When I turn off the car while playing a video, why is it that the video doesn't continue playback when I start the car? This seems to work fine with audio.
  10. So coming back to this issue and sorry for the late response but I lost my password and I was too lazy to recover it. Anyways, I was able to fix my Z120BT's problem. Turns out that I had the pin in the correct position. The issue was that the pin was not pushed in all the way. I guess I couldn't tell since I was working in the afternoon and I didn't see the pin pushed in all the way in the harness. It was a battle though fixing the issue. Originally I accidentally stripped some of the shielding from the mute cable so I put some heat shrink on it; this is actually what was preventing the
  11. Guys... wow seriously Thanks a lot! I got my SD card out and I cleared the "LT" folder. I don't really have a need for tracking anyways. I have google latitude setup with my android and google account. It's weird though because the SD card was showing 17GB free. I guess this is a limitation on Pioneer's end.
  12. Hi. I have a Z120BT with an iPod Classic 160GB setup. My ipod is maybe only 30% full with music and videos. My Pioneer Z120BT is showing a pop-up message every time I start my car "Warning - logging content is 90% full" (wording may not be exact). Does anyone else have this problem? This warning message didn't show for maybe the first couple of weeks I connected my iPod to my pioneer deck. What is wrong with my setup?
  13. I have a question related to this post. I grounded the parking brake wire. Then I moved the mute wire over. Instead of connecting the mute wire to the black ground wire on the black connector, I loosened a screw on the head unit and tightened the wire there. The body of the head unit should be grounded right? I am still getting the annoying "Incorrect wiring of parking brake detected" message. Now I'm wondering about 3 possible problems: 1. I moved the pin to the wrong position (I moved the pin over, not down). 2. The body of the head unit is actually now grounded. 3. The pin is s
