i have a 2003 Z i hooked mine to the white wire on the middle gray connector worked fine for me. Im not sure about the silver markings on mine there was a pink dot every inch or so.

after resting everything clearing the memory and having it reflash off the discs a week went by and its just started doing it again. on off on off, wont turn on for awhile then on and all settings are reset. should i send it in to pioneer???

the d1 was installed when i bought the car and i hooded up a rear backup camera to it i noticed that the bybass was done. is the bypass only for the d3?? latly it will take forever to start up and all my setting will be reset (sometimes) and the background pics set to orginal, and when im drivng it will randomly shut off i noticed the blue pioneer loading screen goes black for a second when it starts too. ALL CONNECTIONS ARE GOOD checked them 5 times. Could the bybass be causing this maybe the unit learned that the car is moving and brake is on?? i dont have the vss hooked up too I h

Im having the same problem with my d1. 700 miles ago i installed a rear backup camera and the ipod adtapter for it. was fine then i noticed when the pioneer logo comes on the screen goes black for a split sec and then comes back. It also restarts when driving once and awhile and the audio setting get reset and has to fine my location all over again. sometimes it takes awhile for it to come on when i start the car. ive checked the wires they seem fine gonna check again.i noticed that the bybass was done to it as well.
