ok everything but the microphone was the sd card had come out. I pulled the trim to remove the radio and found that. Microphone (original problem) still doesn't work. I am going to try another mic tomorrow. I talked to pioneer and if I have to send it back, they said 2 - 4 weeks. That is bs for a thousand dollar stereo. Glad I didn't get rid of the stock unit yet.

Microphone doesn't work, splash screen doesn't show up, tilt is greyed out, will not eject CD or SD card. WTF. Is this a bad unit or is there something els I can do.

Did either of you find out what the problem was? My 130BT microphone is all the sudden not working either.

Got it. It may be in the manual but I couldn't find it and it's a pain in the ass anyway. Before you turn the vehicle off, hit the off button on the head unit and it stays off when you start the vehicle back on.

I have a Z130 and if I plug my iphone in my dock and the radio boots, it starts playing the music automatically. I turn the music off before I turn the truck off and it still does the same thing. I saw a question asked in another thread but it was an X series. Anyone know if the Z series can have the music come of when I want? Thanks.

I got it to work but by accident. I made a new background last night so I took the sd card out to copy it from my laptop. When I turn the radio on to put the card in, I hit the audio options by habit from trying to get this to work. The option was lit up. I hooked the mic up and ran the test. It did make a difference for this unit. When I put the sd card in and turned the truck on later, I went and looked at the option just to see it was there. It's greyed out again. So it seems it shows up without the card in. There is nothing in the manual about this so I am still going to get this

Just tried it with the mic plugged in first and no go. I think I may take it back and get another one to try.

I tried it that way too. What wierd is when I installed this, the option was there but when I tried it the message would say mic failure or something like that. I read further that I needed this mic, so I ordered it. I am on vacation right now and I think I am going to give it one more try tonight and if it does not work, I will try another unit. Thanks for the reply.

Well Ron, I was sort of joking around with my last post, but you are right snippy. If you don't want to help, then don't reply. I didn't expect anything and just saying I did something wrong doesn't make it so. I was just trying to see if I missed something that is not in the manual or if the bypass does something to this feature. It was my last resort before trading it in for another and trying again. Please keep you wads to yourself, it's a little creepy:)

Really? what lack of information? You are felling dread over a parking brake being set? The bypass is done and the manual says do not do this test while driving. I tried this with the truck on, off, acc., run and pb set just for grins. I also reset the radio to defaults just to see if it would show up since I played around with the sound setting so much. I had the 120 last week and upgraded to this unit. It sounded a little better and I am sure it's just settings because the specs are the same except the 130 has an 8 band equalizer and the 120 has a 7 band. I hope all dread has been rem

I have followed the instructions to the letter and even reset to defaults and tried again. No matter what I do, the auto eq button is greyed out. I am ready to throw this f***ing thing out the window. I hope there is something stupid I am missing. I have the microphone for this but it says do not hook it up until you enable the setting. I had a 120bt last week and exchanged it for the 130 for hd radio and traffic. I only used the 120 for a week so I don't know if it had the same issues. 1.Sometimes when I plug my iphone 4 in, it will say authorization failed. 2.When I start the truck and the iphone does connect, sometimes it will just be a black and I will have to choose IPOD and then it comes up. Other times it just starts playing my music. Both instances, I was listening to music when I left the truck and turned everything off. 3.My podcasts do not keep bookmarks now for some reason. My iphone sometimes will not show up unless I hit home and hit the ok button. It would be nice if it didn't come up. I haven't found it to be a deal breaker but it is not just required for navigation on my unit (130bt) unless somethings wrong with it.

I bought the Z120bt last week and just switched it out for the 130. It does the same thing. I was searching about this and found the thread.
