Thanks for the reply. I'll do it if there is no other option. Any other ideas? I was thinking of getting the correct plug + cable somehow. Will call Pioneer in the morning. Besides that, I'm not sure where else to look.

I just saw now from other pictures of the nd-bt1 that the plug is completely different from what I have sitting on the table. The plug I have looks like the ipod plug.

Hello, I need some help with this issue I have. Here is the situation: I just bought a bluetooth nd-bt1 unit off of ebay. It has a cut cable because the seller's z1 was stolen. So I have the bt unit with cable and the plug with cable. Easy I thought - strip wires and connect. Well, when I took the outer layer out I realized the the "inside" of both cables are completely different?!?! I assume that he mixed up the lose cables since he sold all his accessories. The other unit he sold that uses this plug is the xmradio unit. What should I do? can I find out which wires to splice together so

Quick question: on the D2 harness, what color is the VSS wire? I have a blue/white wire that has lost a label - is that wire for VSS? Thanks!!

Hi, I did the bypass on the parking brake wire successfully. I do not have a connector two, hence cannot just plug a cable into the harness to bypass. Does anyone have an idea how to bypass without this plug? I was thinking of wiring a cable to ground and to that last pin, but I am not sure how I would secure it... Thanks in advance!

how were you able to bypass without the connector? i have the same issue. missing the connector, but need to bypass.

Hello, I just bought a used Z1 off ebay that comes with no cables whatsoever. Can someone point me to what else I need to buy to get it to work? So far, I bought: - power harness - gps antenna Also, for the mic: can I just buy any pc microphone and connect it to the Z1 or should I buy the actual pioneer microphone? Thanks everybody!

you are talking about "vicinity search". the thread is talking about "search POI". (the button next to "vicinity search").

thanks guys. hmm... almost $30 on ebay. might as well buy the ipod adapter for the D2 then.

Hi, I have used the A/V inlets for video and audio of my PS2 and want to connect another audio device to the D2. I did not see any "open" cables for audio in when installing, but now I am seeing in the A/V screen that "Aux" is available (in my case, it is greyed out). My question: How do I use this input since I did not see any other cables than the ones I used for the PS2. Thanks.
-
I did this install and the best solution I found was to buy a car ac adapter specifically for the slim ps2 (which goes to the cig lighter). it cost me some $10 or so. This way is cheaper and easier. instead of plugging it into the lighter I hardwired it to the harness. Very clean install and it works great.

still lost... been looking for hours it seems to find how to change the "startup"/"boot"/"loading" image. a question for it is in one of the BG DIY's but i could not find an answer. this thread is kinda ambigous too... surely, this must be simple. anyone please? thanks.
