i still have not updated to ISO5 im waiting untill there is a confirmed fix for it i think there are alot of things wrong with ISO5 and e all wanted it to be rushed out fast cause we all heard good things about it but point blank they rushed it out to fast i think because they wanted to put something out in Steve Job's memory and wanted ISO5 to be the latest legacy for him well it did not work it back fired i heard with in the first 4 days there was already a recal on the 4s or ISO5 that sucks so im still usuing my old one i did update my dads 3gs to ISO5 i think i may just test his

I don't think the X930BT has aa full size SD card slot i have a 930 and i have a mico SD card slot so i think you might have this wrong here

the x930bt does not have a remote well lets say plug and play but instead of that since its Inferred lets say it does not have a Point and play remote you can get the WRI-P from PAC that will then let you add a remote from pioneer like what im doing this week i just ordered the WRI-P and the CD-SR100 you can also get SWI units from pac im not sure if they have one for your car you can check PAC audio online and see what they have

does it stay on with adhesive or can it be taken off if ever have to sent in for service i really want a bigger knob but not at the cost of being told i altered the equipment and my warranty is voided lol

sorry i am not familiar with the units as i am new to the forum and i have a x930bt wich is my first unit from pioneer i am familair with the Metra Access kits like the GMOS units and PAC interface i actualy prefer the PAC over the Metra GMOS intefrace if it has anything to do with bose if its just for onstar and non amplafied systems that GMOS has my vote but if its a amplafied Factory system then i only go with PAC all i can say is try to wire in your old unit and see if it works if it does then chances are the new unit is the problem

i am preaty sure that aslong as you wired up the right connection then you should be fine i know the old GMOS-06 did not work right with navigation units and then maybe about 4 years ago they updated the GMOS-06 to have 4 rca plugs and other changes to let it use the navigation units so the only thing i could think of is you may have an older GMOS-04 unit but then agian you had the Z naivgation in there no problem and you just want to update the unit have you tried to plug back in your old unit to make sure it still works or maybe the harness itself got damaged doing removal or perhaps t

erlier this morning when i called Pioneer on my Breakfast brake to ask them a few questions i was going to wait till after 7 like you said to call you but was going bored on a 2 hour long break thismornig lol so i asked them about the firmware update and also asked them about the CD Text they said that if the CD has the text uption to show it then it should work but for some reason mine don't do that i don't burn cd's i am really hoping that maybe in one of the firmware updates or somewhere along the line they might add some features to the unit like input cross streets for navi

i called Pioneeer thismorning during my break and just asked them what the update from 3.000 to 3.001 did they said it was for the VR on the Z series and also the Aha radio but did not affect or update anything els so i figure since i don't have either no reason to update

oh these cd's that im listening to i have 3 that have gone in every car i have ever owned and yes disc that are from back in the erly 90s do have the CD text to show what is what lol so i know that if the radio was capable of it it would show thats why im asuming it doesn't unless there is something in the settings that needs ot be changed but i can't find it the 1 cd that i have to listen to on every road trip and i don't want to put it on the ipod i think it deserves good old fasion Tape deck when avalable or CD but best even vylyn on a hi fi lol is American Pie Don McClain

ok so i was just wondering who els me feel it is a bit odd that a 900 dollar 2011 model navigation unit does not offer the availability to show you what you are listening to during CD play back i just think that if they offer it in 100 hu's and 200 dollar HU's even in some that are even cheaper why don't they make the 900 dollar navigation unit tell you what you are listening to and have anything other then track numbers

hmm guess no one has the answer to this can someone tell me if they have the 3.001 and if there where any problems with the upgrade did it cause anything to stop working on your unit like the bypass did you have trouble with that or was it the same did you have anything start working better things work faster anyting would be great to know why they came out with the upgrade does it have something extra that the 3.000 did not have ?

I just found what i think is a Secretary short cut menu you hold the button under the volume knob in for a few seconds and another little screen will pop up it will then give you options to dimm or brighten the screan manualy but you do have to have the orange wire hooked up to have it dimm from what i have learned from reading info and all is that unless your factory radio had a dim option wich means there would be a wire going from you car radi harness pinned ot the OEM connector you need to find that and tap into it unless you use a harness but if you don't have the option

Hi i have a few questions about the Audio settings i am a bit confused with first the sub woofer settings if i have a harness like the PAC harness that lets me keep use of my Factory amp and my factory bose speakers 8 speaker system with factory Sub should i keep the Pioneer HU AV-setting Subwoofer Setting to off ? since i don't use the sub woofer jack on the radio or should i still use that and have it on ? also in the picture i posted below how come all the faded out options are faded out like the Rear/Speaker option where it says Sub.w no matter what audio format i pu

Can the Head Unit be turned off when the car is on or is it only the screen that can be turned off is there a way to actually power the unit off whyll the car is on ?

is it possible to stretch the image out on the splash screan or is it normal to look like this ? i had this on any other thing i put it on does not leave ends like that so thinking maybe its the setting on the unit perhaps

when you say audio buttons won't work you mean that i won't be able to use the volume buttons or what ? im confused could you explain what audio functions won't work ? and when you say function you mean that i can't change from ipod to cd to am fm or bluetooth so it wont let me change modes right ? from the remote

im not sure how others would like it but i think if its not to hard to take the nobs off id like one that i could put in place of my nob only because i don't want to have to send my unit in for service and be told that since i altered the knob that my system is voided
