  1. Thanks for the confirmation that this can work! I was able to capture some log files and I started a new thread over at XDA Developers (here). Hopefully the log files will help someone point me in the right direction. If all else fails, I'll try the stock ROM for a day or two and see how it works. CM just adds so much to the experience that I hate the idea of giving it up. Thanks, -Brett.
  2. I've got the 3.24 firmware as of yesterday evening (thanks for posting those instructions, BTW... worked flawlessly). I've not tried with the stock ROM, but AFAIK CyanogenMod doesn't mess with the BT stack. They use the same radio image that stock does, they just layer on other bits of functionality throughout the system. I could try going back to stock, but would rather not. In my mind the enhancements of CM10 are more important than BT, if that makes sense. Thanks, -Brett.
  3. I recently picked up a Nexus 4, and I'm running CM10.1 on it. I've had problems getting it to reliably connect to my Z110bt. I can pair it OK, and it will work the first time but subsequent connection attempts often fail. Usually I get in the car, the AVIC starts up, and I get a "cell phone has been disconnected" message on the AVIC. If I toggle BT on the phone a couple of times it will maybe connect. Maybe not. Just a pain. Here's what I've done so far: Unpaired/Repaired the Nexus 4 Updated the Z110bt from the v3 firmware to the latest 2012 update (same behavior before/after) The thin
  4. EDIT - This happened to me again, so I came back here to remember what I did. I saw a post later in this thread by IdentityWithheld with a much simpler answer. No reset involved. FIXED! Here's what I did: Went through all menus and noted the settings that I had so that I could restore what I wanted after the reset. Disconnect car's battery for 5 minutes Reconnect battery Turn ignition to ACC so Pioneer powers on Hold MODE + "Track <" when splash screen appears Tap reset Once this was done I had a fully reset Z110 and guess what? Now when I switch from the iPod to another source it on
  5. I can say that resetting the iPod has no effect other than to waste an hour+ of my life. I reformatted, copied my music back over, and the "no pause when switching inputs" problem persists. I guess the next step could be doing a factory reset on my head unit but that seems like another big pain. Any other thoughts? -Brett.
  6. I realize this is an old thread, but my Z110 (software updated to z130) and iPod classic just started doing this. Before I go through the hassle of resetting my iPod, can anyone above confirm that this worked for them? Thanks, -Brett.
  7. Funny you should ask - I have one of those sitting in my garage along with a SIRIUS Connect Vehicle Kit SCVDOC1 and a Sirius Starmate 4. So why am I not just using that? I currently make good use of the pause/rewind feature on my Starmate tuner. From what I understand, when you use the CD-SB10 you can pause a compatible connected tuner but it stops once you switch to another source (FM, for example). So if I get in the car in the morning with the kids and want to pause Howard Stern and switch to FM so that I can listen to Howard after I drop the kids off at school, I can't do that with the
  8. OK, thanks for the reply. For reference - I was looking for clarification since the first post starts off "If some of you are running AVIC-Z110BT with Application Version 2.00300..." (emphasis mine) and I'm at 2.002. Wasn't sure if I had to get to 2.003 first somehow and then continue from step 1. EDIT: I was able to successfully update by following the instructions in the first post. Thanks for the help, and thanks to rgarjr for coordinating/releasing this. Thanks, -Brett.
  9. I recently picked up a used Z110BT. The previous owner worked at a local car-fi shop and did an update or two himself. I believe these were "legit" updates direct from Pioneer, not hacks. Based on the following version info from my HU, can anyone suggest the correct steps to update to the version in this thread? Platform Version: 2.000 Application Version: 2.002 Version: 02.0000 Bluetooth Firmware Version: 3.11 Mecha Version: 01.01.05.00 Thanks! -Brett.
  10. Hi, I just picked up a used Z110bt to replace my older DEH-P600UB. The Z110 is running v2.0 (Z120, I believe) software. I have an older Starmate replay that I’m happy with. With my previous head unit, I used the Aux IN to get a direct connection from the Starmate to the HU. I see that the Z110 has two Aux inputs (AV1 and AV2), but they seem to be tailored for a video signal. When you switch to them the screen blanks out, presumably because it’s expecting a video source. The audio plays fine, but I don’t like the idea of the screen just being blank. I was hoping for something like the d
