I believe i have a real problem.... First let me say i had done the bypass succussfully on my Z2 unit before the "freeze" update was re;eased by pioneer. Now many people had success with this while i did not. After trying to install the update the unit says the update failed and rendered the unit useless, literally. No reset would enablethe use of the unit. If i had a copy of the harddrive i'm sure that would have done it but in any case i sent it to pioneer and they "installed the Freeze update" for me. Here's where the kicker gets in, now the unit works wonderfully and doesnt freeze;

I have a 98 3000gt.... I can not firnd a yellow wire with white anywhere in the Passenger kick panel.... where is the VSS!>!>!

Do as much research on this board as you do on "ebay" you will learn it is only a temporary solution and is a well known "bypass"....

Gonna need the vss wire location for a 98 3S. Did a search and ai know a few people have the unit but didnt say where the vss is,. Thanks for the help

Alright I have been following closley to the bypass options for the z-2. I am looking to play dvd's while in motion. I have searched using many key terms, so please no smartass remarks. My wife and I take long road trips and will be taking a trip with a 10 hour drive shortly. This would be a great thing to have to keep her occupied (and off my back, you guys know what i'm talking about Obviously, Pioneer has disabled this function and there is no bypass (yet). which is better for navi? for sound? the Eclipse is a single din while the z2 is double. I don't want to know feature wise (like the z2 has an extra 10gb for music or the eclipse is more expensive) I want to know of the features they have the same, which does what better?! I'm trying to find a z-1 in my area San Antonio and just upgrade when it comes out. I can't find anyone who has them, they say it has been discontinued, if it was idscontinued then why does pioneer still have it on their site. Is this true??? Any one in SATX that i can buy a z1 off of?? What stores should i look for i wanted to install one today but no one has them...
