  1. well, after researching, and reading post> viewtopic.php?f=19&t=23674, I did more inspection under the unit. Seems the long rail with the teeth is off the track. Seems some tab is broken off. I need to replace it at a minimum. Where can I get this part from ? anyone have a partnumber? thanks.
  2. My Z2 screen will not close all the way if I open it. After I press the eject button, the screen will open. When I put CD in, screen will close half way and stop. then the unit freezes. If I push the screen slightly when it is closing, then the screen closes all the way. Anyone got a fix to this?
  3. try connecting the XM module to the head unit only.. see if that works.. I assume you can hear the head unit it self via speakers..
  4. Thanks for the info.. I will try this
  5. I have D2 insatlled in my pathfinder with Bose. I am having the same exact problem you are describing. I just keep the volume high.. I am thinking something wrong with the bose interface that takes D2 output to a pre-amp signal for the bose amplifier.
  6. How do you upload phone book from my bluetooth phone to DNX 7100? Is there anyway to add contacts manualy to the DNX 7100 phone book? Currently I have nothing in the phone book of DNX 7100, and the icon is greyed out..
  7. I got the dash kit from ebay to install the double din DNX 7100 unit into my 2007 camry. Do I use the plastic brackets came with the dash kit in hold the radio or use the metal brackets that was on the OEM radio? The kit says to use the plastic brackets.. they seem weak.. will it be safe to use the this to hold the expensive heavy unit in place??? any thoughts?
  8. Hi, I bought a DNX 7100 to install in my 07 Camry. In the box, i found no nav disk or software.. i guess this is because the software is already loaded in the unit.. I thought i woul still get a backup disk. Please let me know, if there supposed to be a disk. Also, I am was going to buy PAC- SWI-X for steering wheel control, since the unit do not have wired remote input. Can anyone tell me how they placed the "eye" of the PAC unit? Does it have to be righ in front of the nav unit? Thanks helping.
  9. Thanks for your help.. will do this weekend and report..
  10. No. The antenna is a fixed. Its not a power antenna. Do I still need to connect the red wire to the blue from the HU?
  11. The D2 have a reset button below the SRC button on the left side. Pushing that with a pin or something will reset the unit. not sure if there is a reset on D1...
  12. My new AVIC-D2 radio is not as good as my Bose system used to be (01 Pathfinder). I have used the antenna adapter to connect to the HU to the vehicle antenna. Still, the radio is very weak compared to stock.. is this how the other units are too?
  13. Thanks for the replys.. I ended up using metra 95-7417 kit suggested by a local audio installer.. It bearly covered the slot around the radio especially the bottom.. It works..
  14. I installed D2 into my 01 Nissan Pathfinder replacing the Double Din Bose system. It turns out that, the factory system was little bit bigger than the D2. So, after install, I have about a 1/2" gap at the bottom of the D2 and the dash trim. Any ideas how to hide it?
