I tried an autoworks harness adapter and I can get my D3 powered up but no speaker sound. Has anyone installed thier system into a RAM 1500? The adapter has alot of the harness not even connecting up with the pinout of the vehicle plug. Does my truck need a canbus adapter?

I have just discovered the AVIC line which I hope to purchase and replace my OEM Radio in my Daytona RAM 1500. I have some newbie questions. Can someone give me an idea what the difference is between the N1,N2 & N3? Is it just the software? Is it the Brain or is is the combination of the Head Unit, the software and the Brain together? Can any Version Head unit be used with any software and Brain? What are some pitfalls to watch out for when looking at Ebay units? What is considered a fair price from an N1 or N2 unit.
