  1. I have a full post over at benzworld...no kit is avail, you will need to make your own brackets and black trim piece http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w210-e5 ... -unit.html good luck!
  2. you should be able to - you need to set your phone to connect or verify the connection by establishing it as a registered connection under "my devices". I have the SGH 519 and it connects almost immedietly. You should see a device listed as "Pioneer BT" - this needs to be set on the phone not on the D3
  3. ...that controls the breadcrumbs tracking...not the red line
  4. The red straight line gives me "Missile Command" flashbacks - an old Atari game from the mid 80's for those of you not as ancient as me. I would be ecstatic if I could remove...but I guess the designers over at pioneer feel everyone needs to have a red "direction line" across their D3 nav
  5. its crazy that you can get rid of the bread crumbs but not the red direction line. I find that line more offensive then the breadcrumbs -lol -
  6. the manual calls it a "Direction Line" Its a red straight line the plots from the top of the direction arrow to your destination and its so annoying - reading the manual over again to see if i can get rid of it - so far no luck.
  7. The red line that the D3 plots on the nav map during use drives me crazy - i have searched around to try to get rid of this...is there any way at all? Its so annoying - why couldnt they put a side bar compass or arrow to show the direction of your location...the red line gets in the way of the map and is completly useless.
  8. Finally got everything in and working properly after double din convesion and dealing with tricky fiber optic wiring on my 2000 E55 - just need some brackets to mount the D3 to 90 degree tabs on the plastic cage surround - any suggestions or standard brackets i can buy/mod that will fit - the stock brackets are too small. (picture is without final mounting trim) any suggestions are appreciated..
  9. Service Provider: T-Mobile Phone: Samsung-T519 SW Version: ? Auto-Connect: Yes (have to turn authorize on at phone) Basic Function: yes can call from d3 or phone Phone Book Transfer: No - havent tried to push single contact Voice Calling: have not tried Signal & Battery Strength Indicator: No BT Audio Capable: Not sure Initially the phone was connecting fine but only communicating with partial functionality. I called crutchfield tech support and was told to switch the BUS cable from in to out...and then everything worked. I think they mislabeled the bus connectors on this uni
  10. Yes you can install it into a E320. There are some companies that make a plastic insert that will allow for the Double din install - I have seen them online. If you have the bose amp you can easily wire the system up through the stock harness by using the VW wire harness (crutchfield or any other source) you will also need the euro converter for the antenna. If you have the bose amp , you need to purchase a line level converter like (Scosche Oea4 4-Channel Adjustable Factory Amplifier Interface ) becasue you dont want to fry the bose amp by feeding it too much power. You can also gets l
