I used the can bus adapter to install my d3. Do you guys use that ground or ground the radio to something better.
-
I switched the ground around, I even went as far as to run a cable to the batt for the neg. I swaped the amps ( highs and subs) They both make the noise, However with the low pass filter on the noise is gone.
I retraced my wiring on the radio. No power wires cross rca or speaker wires. I added a ground to the radio itself. still no help.
by no means am I an installer, But I am not an idot. I am just looking for some friedly advice.
Do they make a filter of sorts that would fix this.

It makes the noise with volume down.... engine off

All hooked up. D3, kicker sx650 amps, 2-kicker vr-10,.6x9's, 5 1/4's.
I used a dual amp kit, I have an engine noise with no volume. It sounds like my fuel pump.
Should I move my groud.

I used the metra xsvi-6502 and it had no provision for the vss or reverse or dimmer. I searched and I cant find any info on the 06 cummins auto tranny. Could you provide a link.

2006 dodge ram cummins no factory nav.
Anyone know where the vss is in this truck. Also a good place for the reverse wire .
The dimer wire needs a home too.

Installed the d3 last night. I used the metra-xsvi-6502. I cannot find a location for the vss wire , reverse wire and the dimmer.
Is there any way to hard wire these wires without changing adapters.
Also I did the hack, And on start up I get a message that states the parking break was not hooked up correctly. Is this normal.
Any help would be appreciated.
Crazy noise through speakers.....

power and ground are the same. I have the ground to the chassis right now. Its a good clean ground. I am going to increase the radio ground size today. Maybe I will just add a good chassis ground to the radio ground.
How about grounding the little wire that runs with the rca's.
Just throwing things out there.
