  1. The Scosche adapter charges with my iPhone 3G and works with my Avic-D3. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001HN6CVA
  2. Clean off the screen. If you are in the Dynamics display and touch the screen it brings up the map (I think).
  3. My thoughts exactly. But didn't work for me. New phone, empty speed dials.

  5. After 2700 miles, my D3 is still in hybrid 3D learning mode with one more blank bar on the 3D line. Will I notice a difference once this extensive learning is over?
  6. MISFIT, check out this week's episode of Motorweek. They show a factory nav unit in an MKX and say that they really like the interior design and it would be perfect if the gaps around the factory nav were uniform. Your AVIC installation in the MKZ looks way better than what Motorweek showed for the factory nav in the MKX.
  7. Shuffle affects podcast playback too. Although you will see all the podcasts in the playlist, when you play one the menu shows you are playing title 1 of 1 instead of the first of many. It is a pain, because you generally have to have shuffle on to play music since the search is so basic. I will have to try this with videos.
  8. That is a good question that I would like to know as well. Right now I am using the speed dials on my phone and then using the handsfree kit to listen to the messages.
  9. I would like my D3 more if it had RDS. Why Pioneer did not include that feature when every bottom of the line stock radio has it is disappointing. I wonder what they gained by leaving this feature out?
  10. I wish it would pause the iPod during voice navigation instead of mute it. Sometimes the nav lady talks for a long time.
  11. The car is a 2006 Corvette Coupe. I installed the AVIC-D3 with the bypass, bluetooth adapter, iPod cable, rear view camera, and PAC C2R-GM24 for chimes and RAP. In the installation, I removed the stock amp so the AVIC amp goes to the speakers. All of the connections were soldered and shrink wrapped, except for the splice taps and the connections using the spade lug connections in the Avic harness. Everything worked great for a few weeks. The audio cut out while the vehicle was stationary and a song from the iPod was playing. Then there was no audio from any AV source and no audio from
  12. I have been using my AVIC D3 for about two weeks. Today the unit went silent right in the middle of a song playing on the iPod. Everything else continued to function with the AVIC, but no sound came out. I am using the built-in amps in the AVIC so there is nothing between the AVIC and the speakers. I tried resetting the unit, both with the power on and off but neither reset had any effect. So I pulled it out of the dash to inspect everything. Nothing looked unusual, but for good measure I unplugged the connectors and reinserted them and now everything is fine. Any ideas what is
  13. In the "Route Options" menu you can change "Number of Routes" to "multiple." Then when you route to a new destination, you can preview up to six different routes and pick the one you like best. I think this is a pretty cool feature.
  14. Check this out: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthr ... nna+enable. Looks like I need the power antenna output of the AVIC D3 to run the "Antenna Enable" of the active antenna module in the car AND I need to generate a signal that is +0V for AM and +5V for FM for the "FM Composite" signal input. How would a professional installer handle this one?
  15. Crutchfield didn't have a harness for this car. But you started me thinking some more. I looked at the shop manual and there looks like some active electronics back by the AM and diversity FM antenna. I will connect the power antenna wire to the antenna enable signal. There is another wire in the factory harness called "FM composite signal" that goes to this module. It is not a coax. Any idea what I should do with that wire? Thanks!
