  1. checked my disc and it had gotten scratched. Made a new disc and all is well.
  2. I am having the same issue. Yes i am using a burnt nav disc
  3. yes. do it as a data disc. you must extract the 6 files from the zipped folder before adding them to Nero
  4. Just curious... r u adding the files to the root of the CD? Have you extracted the files from the zipped folder BEFORE adding them to the burn list? I used Roxio without any problems.
  5. I don't think the CD-i200 is compatible with the Z series
  6. I haven't noticed any "updated" map data from the Z3 image in SoCal. The street my office has been on since 2004 has the wrong name on my updated Avic. Tela-Atlas, yahoo, google and my Garmin all have the correct street info.
  7. It's Pioneer's issue. Tele Atlas releases updated maps every quarter to their subscribers but Pioneer only releases the updates annually. Pioneer is scheduled to release an update by May '08. The Z3 is also due out at that time. It won't use Tele Atlas but Microsoft Maps and the iPod interface is supposed to be through USB (full speed)

These look very cool but the cost seems to be limiting factor now, ~$1,000. But this will come down in the next few years at technology does. Do you know if any one has replaced / upgraded their drive with one of these? My guess is no because of that "limiting factor" but who knows. I am looking into getting one through vendor channels. I do know that Toshiba has already released a notebook line that uses the SSD drive. It only added $600 to the price of the notebook.

I wonder if the Z3 will use a SSD instead of a standard 2.5 hard drive. They use the standard connector, have faster access times and generate almost no heat. They also have a greater operating temperature range than hard drives. Operating Temperatures -25 to 85c. Samsung and Sandisk offer Solid State Drives http://www.samsungssd.com
  10. GeekGrl I wish I was so lucky. Working on the edge of the desert in California it takes my unit a long time cool down. Before I put the coolers on my unit would freeze while stopped at the gas station. At least that problem is gone........ I hope. I'm just really pissed that (1) Pioneer didn't test these things better (2) Pioneer doesn't acknowledge that there is problem - NTF my a$$
  11. After you register Pioneer will email you a survey for the Z2 asking what features you like, what prompted you to buy, what other unit you considered and the 2 most important things .... How you would rate the Z2 and what comments you have for Pioneer. I hit em with both barrels.
  12. Did the thermaltake coolers actually work? LK it helped in that it only takes about 8 minutes for my display to start working instead of an hour.
  13. Fixed it....... well sort of [/img]
  14. Pioneer just emailed me a survey for the Z2. I basically told them that it was a POS and that their tech support was full of it. I work in San Bernardino where it gets into the high 90s during the summer and my Z2 has frozen everyday last week. It's fine in the morning but when I leave in the afternoon... no joy. I recently stuck 3 video card coolers on top of the Z2 which seems to cool it a lot faster but for a $2200 unit this is F'n absurd. Pioneer was more worried about law suits from people having accidents while watching DVDs than from consumers being ripped off on equipment tha
