  1. oh then I doubt ill go near that again. a little tempted though.
  2. To format the mbr then put 2.0 back on. I now have the lowest version of the maps can I just put the update from the pioneer website on or will it mess things up?
  3. So I followed the thread and everything is finally working again! Thanks a lot for your help I just need to update the maps and Im good to go. Thanks!
  4. Ive tried every logical thing for the past 4 hours and no matter what I do ill get the same message. When I put 2.0 on it will stay at the splash screen until you hit the menu button then it will bring you to the main menu without any messages but still no maps. When I put 3.0 on the system startup message doesn't go away and with both of these firmwares it shuts down every few minutes. With the 4.001 firmware I can't even access anything. Ive been doing some research on the formatMBR so I think I am being forced to give that a try tonight and leave 2.0 on it.
  5. The message is on startup now rather then before only when I clicked on destination or maps.
  6. I tried the update and Im getting this message now. It looks as if everything went fine just that there is something corrupt in just this part of the folder somehow.
  7. Ill give it a try tomorrow. Im using a mac by the way do you think that makes any difference?
  8. Tried putting 2.0 back on again and its just stuck at the splash screen. This thing is killing me.
  9. yeah Ive tried everything putting back 2.0 and both 3.0 files and still this message:
  10. I put it into service mode and updated the wince files then rebooted it and booted into test mode. Then I deleted everything in the flash disk folder and transferred the files from the SD card over. When I click on the maps I get a language error message. This is what it looks like now. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  11. I recently updated to 3.0 and now the message that says "system startup in progress please wait" will not go away and the system reboots every few minutes. I also can't access the phone and the maps anymore. I've tried putting new maps and even putting 2.0 back on but nothing has worked so I just left 3.0 on and enjoy the three minutes of music. Map version says 2.0. pleasse help!
  12. Hey so I did everything and it finally works again! Everything was very simple to do and Im no longer having the message come up. Thanks a lot!
  13. & do you think I should do this with the e brake and mute wire un connected?
  14. thanks so much for the help. Ill give it a try tomorrow and will post the results back here when Im done. thanks again!
  15. Can you please let me know how to do that? And I'm not sure what firmware I have, I can't access my settings. Thanks.
  16. Right now both the mute wire and the e brake wire are not connected to anything and I can access the main menu and play cd's for about three minutes until it cycles back into the loop where it restarts
  17. How would I do that? I don't have any experience with the software on these but I do have an sd card which I know I need.
  18. I already tried that thats how I reset the ecu. Is there anything software related I can do, or anything else?
  19. I tried that I unhooked it (the e-brake wire) and restarted it and still get the same message every time. I tried holding the reset button for 5 seconds pulled all fuses both for the radio and the one on the radio and nothing has worked.
