I wasn't connecting the USB cable to USB2 port. looks like it is working now. The list of supported phones from pioneer is a totla joke. they only have phones that are more than 2 years old.

I grounded my parking break cable and did the bypass and it seems to work however I still get once in a while a message saying I need to properly attach the parking break cable. I just hit ok and everything still works as intended. Any way to get that messahe to go away? This is on a 8100 NEx

I bought an MHL adapter for my 8100NEX however I cannot get the appmode to work. I see am gray screen with a bright dot and a message asking to press the menu key. How often does pioneer updates firmware to add features or modify things based on user feedback? I am about to return my unit as no bluetooth audio with cable plugged in and text color in XM setting are not a deal braker for me. no avicsync and no zoom in/out in maps.

I called t hem and the said if they hear from enough people, they might look into it. I suggest people call them up to complain.

Is there a way to change the font color on the info displayed on some siriux XM channels? They come up as black and it's really hard to read. ( see pic ) I ususally see the font in black on news channels. music channels come up as while and it's totally readable.

I copied the folder in the SD card as per instructions. the 8100NEX starts reading it but then exits back to the off screen. anyone experienced this? I have the parking break grounded and bypass on. could it be related?

What is the size of the screen that needs to be cut for it to cover screen + bezel...

Is the screen worth the $200 bucks?

I am shopping for a new HU. I am torn between the 7100 or 8100 NEX. I am concerned over the glare on the screen of the 8100. have people gotten good feedabck on any antiglare screen protectors? Do they work? any other advantages of getting the 8100? the 7100 has all the touch features with the hacked app? Please let me know?
